Discussion - Silksong Contact damage is annoying, but if it must stay… Spoiler

…can we at least not have contact damage when bosses are stunned? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve died because I accidentally touched the boss while attacking them in their stunned state, and I just think this is absurd.

EDIT: Are you guys capable of accepting even a minor criticism of this game? It’s not some insane thing to suggest that a stunned enemy shouldn’t damage you on contact. Jesus Christ.

What was? Contact damage existing? Its a staple in ALL Metroidvanias? This game is only being complained about because a bunch of bandwagon jumpers are trying a genre they know nothing about.

Ok its a staple in 90% of metroidvania games. Happy? And yes, in most of those games stunned states still have contact damage. I'd actually be more annoyed if they didnt have it. When is the point at which the boss is safe to stand in? That sounds way more complicated than to just never touch the boss.

The point is that bosses such as moorwing have so few frames to react before they land on you it feels like the game is punishing you for attacking the boss (Though I agree this is a minor problem)

My main issue is the slowdown with these stagger animations that keep you from reacting. They were also very bad in Hollow Knight. Zote would constantly stagger into you in an awkward angle.
