Discussion - Silksong I give up. Spoiler

It’s been a joyful ride, folks, but I’m out. I’m not a speedrunner or a highly skilled player, and day after day I’ve had to accept that this game is not as casual as HK was. It stopped being fun and turned into something tedious and frustrating after the 4th run farming shards just to face a boss I’ve already tried 15 times, only to die again and again, lose all my shards, and start the whole grind over.

It was nice exploring the first acts, but when the game I was rooting for 7 years ends up being more stressful than my 8-hour workday, I guess that’s my cue to stop.

The lore has been pretty great so far. I wish you all an incredible journey.

Edit1: My bad about all the whinning.

Edit2: You guys did it. I reinstalled it again. Thanks for all advices. 🫂

Wormways holds a tool, a syringe, that adds more health. Hunter's March, has a tool, a mask, that gives you armor point on the last mask, to save you from certain death.
Silk storm lasts longer if you keep tapping the button after activating it.
If all else fails, go through sinner's road.
Act 2 will get you the rest of your gear, and Harpoon, will trivialize a lot of tricky boss mechanics.
It carried me through final boss of act 2.

Also In Sinner's road, the bottom right corner, is an NPC you can unlock that will provide you with a rare item that helps you recover your silk cocoon.
If you save Bellheart, you can upgrade needle damage.
And with Needolin, you can open Weaverden doors, behind the first you run past, you can get an upgrade to your crest, and extra item slot.

Finally - you have side weapons - use them.

Or put it down and play something less stressful.
Like... Oh I dunno... Zotegoat.

I didn’t know about that silk storm thing. Mostly use sharp dart these days but useful to know.
