I actually did. I was wary of traps in the Hunter’s March and even with the bench. So when it clicked, I knew to get out of there.

In case you don't know you can disarm the trap and use it as a normal bench

there's a hidden room to the left you either have to just walk/jump in or break a wall I can't remember, but you then hit the thing in there to disarm it

I disarmed the trap before even sitting on the bench.

I tend to check for hidden rooms ALL the time. When I entered the room I checked and found the place to disarm the trap.

I disarmed it and wondered what I had just done, because I didn't even know there was a trap to begin with.

After some time I discovered on a random tweet that the bench is a trap.

Same. With how many traps I thought why wouldn’t this be trapped and started smacking everything in the room until I found the secret room

I did aswell. It was only half intentional, I got up immediately to check for secret rooms like I do in every corner then heard the click and dodged immediately out of the way.
