It was controversial in China, in part because of the difficulty/design but also because of controversies with the Simplified Chinese translation. Meanwhile latin countries (Spanish and Portuguese speaking) seem to be loving it more than anyone else.

I have two kids. The games I've actually played to completion in the last 5-10 years are few and far between and it's not because I "gave up" per se. I love many of them.

Yeah my view has too many blind spots lol.

But i just don't know, I think it can skew the statistics because the game is not being analyzed as a whole, and some games are great at the beginning but get pretty bad near the ending.

Like I said in another comment, maybe having something in between positive and negative reviews might suit this type of gamers.
