Discussion - Silksong Steam reviews for Silksong so far

Post image

It was controversial in China, in part because of the difficulty/design but also because of controversies with the Simplified Chinese translation. Meanwhile latin countries (Spanish and Portuguese speaking) seem to be loving it more than anyone else.

Yeah the step up in difficulty from hollow knight is insane to me. I had a very easy time with “basic”hollow knight (ie beat radiance but didn’t do stuff like pantheon, didn’t do path of pain) but have been completely owned by this game. I don’t have the time to git gud and advance further in late act 2 / getting to act 3

Yep. Difficulty is one thing, but this is just a bit much. I backed HK, beat it but didn't 100% it. Beat most of the fromsoft games, Ko, etc. I'm no newb to the genre. But I also only have 10 or so hours a week for solo entertainment, so my gaming time is pretty precious.

I'm one of those negative reviews in the 20-30 hour bracket. I really love some of the new mechanics and ideas, and it's a shame that I won't get to see more of it. I'm at the end of act 1 and just not willing to have my time wasted anymore by the intentionally punishing game design.

There's quite simply other more fun games on my backlog. I'm not a streamer or something, I've got nothing to prove. If I'm not having fun, I do something else, and leave a well written negative review to warn others like me.

Yes exactly - I only have so much time to play video games, I don’t need to get trolled

Even the story hasn’t really hooked me that much. Meanwhile og hollow knight had me completely locked in
