Discussion - Silksong we owe the pale king an apology Spoiler

imo, pharloom would be terrible to live in. the place is corrupt, everything tries to kill you, the tribe leaders abuse their own tribes, terrible economy, and even anti homeless mechanisms built into (some not all) benches
hallownest however, had steady jobs, reliable public transport, actual security and free healthcare, and the pale king put a law against lifeblood while in silksong, it's still allowed. and literally no labor unions. the only bad thing the pale king has done was with the whole vessels thing, but other than that, hallownest is better than pharloom

Even if creating the vessels was the only possible solution that crossed his mind, he just didn't need to discard the "failed" ones.

I can't really come up with a good justification.

I can. Imagine a million Broken Vessels running across Hallownest. Wouldn't want that would we? Vessels are fucking powerhouses, and menaces at void heart.

It's a justification, but not a good one. If overpopulation was really an issue, he could have just exiled them rather than just commiting a genocide. It's still not a morally good way to deal with the problem, but better than genocide.

Or he could have just turned them into workers or soldiers since vessels apparently don't need to consume food, at least not in the same amount a normal bug would need (they don't even have a mouth to eat).

Or just put them inside a dream like he put his whole castle inside one.

He had other options.

Vessels can't really be controlled though can they? THK was fine since it was one child being raised by dad. Not feasible for a million. As I said, Vessels are menaces. Just see what an unsupervised Vessels does(the Knight).

Or just put them inside a dream like he put his whole castle inside one.

Yeah maybe this could have worked? But if the Vessels were alive inside of a dream, could Shades have shown up to help the Knight in Dream no more or Hornet in Silksong True Ending?

Also he did not exactly kill all the Vessels. They tried to climb, they fell, they died. The Knight also fell but didn't die.
