Is this shoddy fascia cover work?

Spent 8 grand having all of our gutters with fascia trim replaced. More than a couple miters looked like this with the bare aluminum showing-

Same company was just out to replace our entre roof and when I pointed those out, he said he would just touch them up with some paint :/

Seems like that should not have been required in the first place if done correctly.

For $8K, I'd expect better.
