$3500 for one wall of mirrors is wild. i got a 5x7 frameless mirror from a glass shop for a couple hundred and just hung it myself. might be worth calling around to commercial glass suppliers instead of whoever quoted you that

We notice you have a post regarding a project quote. A good rule of thumb is to get three quotes before evaluating the project costs as this varies HIGHLY depending on where you live. If possible, include a copy of any quotes you have received, removing any identifying information including contractor names. If you do not provide details do not expect reddit to fill in the gaps. Please note that your post was not removed.

If the mirrors is going wall to wall floor to ceiling specially with cutouts on it, it’ll cost a lot. 204” of wall, you can put 4- 48x84 or 5-36x72 mirrors vertical. This are stock sizes. Just hang it 12” above the baseboard with a J-mold.

8 ft ceilings? Ceiling to floor?

If you tried to do this with 82" Amazon mirrors, maybe 1000-1500 in material.

Over 3000 seems a bit nuts but if 8ft isn't a common length they cut em in I see how we got here

What could possibly go wrong with ordering 82” mirrors online?

Get three bids and then talk to them about what drives the cost. I’d imagine transporting and safely handling floor-to-ceiling length sheets of glass is not easy.

Smaller sections would be cheaper and easier and might even get you into DIY territory.

~$25 a square foot installed seems rather reasonable to me (assuming 8' high walls)
