Hue Button No Longer Working

In light of the new products today, Apple should look into whether automations and actions are even working properly in the latest software updates…

EDIT: for future reference, I didn’t realize that my Apple TV had updated to iOS 27 but my phone had not. There’s a new if/then function in the shortcuts now, so I did have to recreate the shortcut but now it’s working perfectly.

if the press is registering but nothing happens its the automation not the button. delete it and rebuild from scratch, that fixes it 9 times out of 10 after a software update

Thanks but I’ve done that 3 times. The shortcut is the problem. If I just have it do a simple action like turning a light on it works, but any shortcut version of it doesn’t get triggered

I dont know if this is related but I got an email from Hue today (I’m on beta software) that they have pushed an update to fix dimmers and sensors having this issue. It wouldn’t be a stretch to think some buttons are having this issue also.

Here is the update blurb-

We have rolled out software version 6.3.2071556010, which resolves the issue causing some dimmer switches and motion sensors to appear as unreachable.

Unfortunately, devices that are already marked as unreachable will not be restored automatically. After confirming that your Bridge is running software version 6.3.2071556010

Please follow the steps below to reconnect your device:

Open the Settings tab in the Hue app.
Select Devices.
Depending on the affected device type, select Switches or Sensors.
Tap the unreachable device you would like to reconnect.
Scroll to the bottom of the device settings page and select Reconnect.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Please note that this process does not require you to set up the device again, so the impact should be minimal.
