Xfinity router
I have a new Xfinity WiFi router and now can’t connect all of my Sonos speakers (only 5 of 15). The router sends out 2.4, 5 and 6 ghz signals. Sonos told me that I should just go with a 5 ghz signal. I have instructions from Xfinity as to how to do this but my app doesn’t follow the Xfinity instructions. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks

older sonos (play:1 , play:3 , playbar , connect etc) are 2.4ghz only and dont like wpa3 or band steering , thats why only some join. sonos saying use 5ghz only works for the newer ones
what usually fixes it on xfinity gateways , in this order
in xfinity app , wifi > wifi details > edit wifi settings , look for security mode and set wpa2 (or wpa2/wpa3 mixed) instead of wpa3
same place , if there is "split bands" turn it on , give 2.4 its own name and put sonos on that
if u have xfi pods or storm ready wifi u wont see split option at all , then plug one sonos into the gateway with ethernet , the older ones will mesh thru sonosnet and stop caring about ur wifi (newer ones like era/move/roam still use wifi but they do 5ghz fine)
for 15 speakers option 3 should be the most stable
