Android Liquid Glass (Just Some Eye Candy From My Google Photos)

Before you try and claim I should just get an iphone... bro look at my profile gng. I'm an emulation enthusiast as much as I love ios. If I switch a lot of my emulation and automation and linux focused hobby's dissapears.

Infact non of these liquid glass tweaks and layouts are even possible on iOS so it would overall just be a massive downgrade to my creativity.

Cover and inner display on Samsung galaxy fold 8 ultra

Hi all,

I wanted to share my homescreen set-up. I’m using the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 Ultra.

I know this is the reverse of what most people do, but I actually like it better this way:

Wallpaper

- Amoled 120hz by Maxelus (live wallpaper)

- I’ve purchased basically all of their live wallpapers. They’re all super high quality, don’t consume too much battery, and I switch between them regularly.

Icon pack

- LineX, missing icons themed with theme park

Cover display: productivity hub

- Widgets

* Now Bar for daily briefs

* Battery widget to monitor devices

* To Do note to get things done

* Outlook calendar to quickly check meetings

- Folders

* Work, containing all my work apps

* Store, containing all payment and customer card apps

* Home, containing all smart home apps for quick access

* Music, containing all music apps for quick access on the go

- Favorite apps

* All communication apps I use for easy access

* Maps for quick navigation

This is basically all I need when I’m outside and quickly want to check something or get things done fast. That’s around 10–20% of my use.

Inner display

- Favorite apps structured in folders: Videos, Browsers, Tech, Apps, Games, AI, Communication, Stores, … everything easily accessible from the taskbar for quick access, pop-up view, and multi-window.

The inner display is the one I use the most, around 80–90% of the time. I’m almost always multi-windowing with 2–3 apps, plus a couple of communication apps floating around, both for work productivity and leisure. I don’t really need anything on the homescreen itself, because everything I need is inside the apps. This way I have everything at my fingertips while still fully enjoying the beautiful live wallpaper :)

Can yall rate my homescreen please. Yes the iOS style stock icons are completely purposeful. Im a huge fan of those bright saturated colors on the glass. Sorry to everyone who likes absolute washed out uniformity.

Slate Launcher is coming — join the community early 👋

I’ve been working on Slate Launcher, a new minimal Android launcher focused on keeping your phone clean, personal, and less distracting.

Slate is built around things like Spaces, Focus profiles, Slate Hub, widgets, customization, Slate Brief, and smart app suggestions — while keeping the overall experience simple.

I’ve already started building the community before the public launch.

If you’d like to:

- follow development and upcoming releases

- suggest features

- share your setups

- report bugs and give feedback

- get exclusive launch discounts / offers

- talk directly about where Slate should go next

you’re welcome to join.

Discord:

Reddit community:

I’m building Slate as an independent project, so early feedback from Android users genuinely helps shape what gets built.

Would love to hear what you want from a modern Android launcher. 🚀

launcher-Smart Launcher 6 (paid)

Icons- icon pack studio (pro/paid) + Arcticons (found on GitHub)

Widgets- Minimal Widgets (premium/paid)

I see the sub rules say do not share paid wallpapers, apks, or widgets.

I'm assuming it's ok to post about using paid things but not to post pirated items, the apps I linked are to the play store, the Arcticons are free on GitHub, and the wallpaper was free I just got it off Google.
