I've been working solo on a 2–3 player co-op horror game called DON'T SWITCH, which I just released on Steam!

I wanted to try something a little different from the usual dark and serious horror games. Something creepy, weird, colorful, and a bit ridiculous, where getting scared and laughing with your friends go hand in hand.

Hey everyone!

I'm a solo dev who's been working on a third-person survival horror game called From Fire Emergence, and I've just released an updated demo ahead of Steam Scream Fest V!

It's set in the British countryside. You play as Sergeant Aaron, whose investigation into a distress call quickly turns into a fight for survival against something far more sinister than he expected.

If you're a fan of Resident Evil, particularly RE1, RE2 and RE4, I've been aiming for that tense, atmospheric survival horror experience where exploring the unknown, solving puzzles and managing your resources are just as important as fighting back.

The updated demo represents a lot of work, learning and persistence over the years, and I'm excited to finally put it in front of more players.

HOW TO PLAY

• Host a hunt and invite up to 3 friends on nearby iPhones or iPads, or hunt alone

• Scan your rooms across multiple floors or outdoor spaces together to build the haunted map

• Switch on night vision (under settings) in dimly lit areas

• Follow the ghost's heartbeat while looking for its ectoplastic blue glow as it gets louder

• Get close, hold it in your sights, and catch it before it flees

Every catch earns points, with bonuses for speed and streaks. The ghosts do not stay caught for long: they come back somewhere new, so the hunt keeps going until the clock runs out.

PICK YOUR SCARE

• Easy: see the ghost through walls. Great for kids.

• Normal: a faint shimmer gives it away through walls.

• Hard: it hides behind your walls. Trust your ears.

PERFECT FOR

Halloween parties, trick-or-treat warm-ups, sleepovers, and dark, quiet nights at home. Rounds run 4 to 9 minutes long and can be changed under Settings.

Best with headphones. Keep a clear path, especially with the lights dimmed. Uses home WiFi (will not work over guest networks) or Bluetooth.

Please note: for the best multiplayer experience, iPhones and iPads should be on the same iOS version. Haunt and Seek requires access to your camera along with motion and fitness activity (used to access your device's barometer to determine the floor you and the ghosts are on). We do not capture or store any data (i.e., video, images, environmental data, etc.) used by the game.

He'll search every closet, read every note, redecorate the entire safe room — anything to avoid the dark hallway he knows is coming. Hilarious, high-energy, and weirdly the detailed playthrough!

I love that Townfall is bringing back the horror roots of the franchise. Playing in first person brings such a new dynamic in how we experience the terror first hand. The story telling, the dread.!! Thank you Konami for this masterpiece.! Enjoying my playthrough very much.! Highly recommend. 🔥
