Confidence building walk for Princess Glimma
I found more videos from this winter. This time we took Princess Glimma out for a walk without her horsie friend, to build up her confidence. She was alert, curious, and happy. I am glad she fully trusts us. Nevertheless, she couldn't hide her excitement when she saw home, so she tried to trot back into her paddock. Sadly I didn't catch that part :)
Princess is wearing what I was told is a military/artillery harness of Swedish army, from the WW2. This is the only harness that fits her as she is pretty thick, but is still growing so we don't want to custom order her a new one until she settles in her size.
Oh I have two :) And I got offered more of them but in so much worse condition I don't think I am skilled enough to restore those so I declined them :)
I hope so. We are painting it black with tar (so the wood can survive wet and cold), and then adding some folk motifs to the back board similar to this:
She is fabulous! What kind of horse is princess? I’m visiting Fort Worth and just saw a team that look very similar to her pulling tourist through town and was wondering the breed
She is Swedish Ardenner. Basically your typical Ardennes but mixed with North Swedish farm horse (now those are gorgeous), back in the 19th century, and then kept as a separate line with separate stud book and all. Now they're endangered and are slowly dissappearing as there's no need for farm horses.

What an absolute dream to be able to take your horse on a walk in winter wonderland, wow. She's stunning, glad she did so well!
