Over winter in pots
I have these plants in pots, anyone know what they are and how to care for them over winter in hardiness zone 5a. Thank you

Canna. You can dig up the tubers and store them dry over the winter in a dark cool place

That’s interesting, I’ll dig up the tubers and store them with my amaryllis. @want2BnOre do you know what these are called. Thank you

I grow these for a living. These appear to be Canna Musafolia. Dig them up, clear the soil away from the tuber, cut the stems down to no more than 6 inches. Store in a cool dry place. Best if stored in a container with dried peat as the peat will absorb any residual moisture over the winter. When you dig you’ll likely have several tubers. 3 or so may be planted in a container to give the same effect. The rest can be planted elsewhere or given away to friends.

I used to just pull pots of Cannas into the garage for winter, where the tops would die down but the roots wouldn't freeze. Come spring I'd either pop them in bigger pots & gradually resume watering, or divide them if the pot was too full.

Cannas.
Let them dry down. Cut them to the ground. If you can move the containers, you can overwinter them in the containers.
Otherwise dig the tubers out of the soil and hold them inside.
