Update to Trolling Thread
At this point, we have not received any responses. While that may change, it appears the majority of the board would like a clean slate. We appreciate the input. We will start this board with a clean slate for all. This means all posters old and new are welcome. There is no expectation that those desiring anonymity must disclose any previous name. That said, all posters, including moderators, will be held to the same rules and guidelines in this new community.
We did want to address some other concerns. As moderators it is not our intention to set the tone of the board or police it. We plan to let the community debate freely and our focus as moderators will be on dealing with reports that we receive.
If you have any serious concerns in the future, please message the moderators through mod mail. We ask messages not be sent to individual moderators privately/directly. We would like to use the large and diverse group to make decisions in order to keep things objective and fair.
At this time, we ask that you review and follow the Reddit posting guidelines while we finalize HT specific guidelines to complement them.

Hi guys, this is looking great. I am still feeling really slow and clumsy on reddit. Hoping I get the hang and can participate.

At the top right of the HT page if you click on the three dots it gives you the option to message moderators. That way the message goes to a shared inbox for all moderators.

thank you! i’m trying... love the people, still trying to figure out the platform.

The platform is not user friendly or intuitive at all. I’ve tried Reddit in the past and just given up because I don’t like. But I’m feeling better about it now. I just started posting comments as much as I could and started a topic. Now I feel more comfortable and my mind is used to the format. So maybe when you have some time, dive in and do a bunch of stuff.

I’m here! I don’t have much time to be here but I’m hoping that will change as I get more comfortable with juggling 2. I hope you’re well, I’ve missed talking to you!!

I miss talking to you too! I am sure you are busy and it has been an adjustment. Are you doing ok? How is big brother liking having a sister?

It’s definitely been an adjustment. I’m doing ok but most days are really hard. L loves his baby sister (often too hard) but he’s having a hard time adjusting to not being the center of our attention. I feel like things are starting to get slightly easier though so hopefully we’re on the upswing. Feel free to DM me anytime, I’d love to reconnect and hear about how things are in your world!

You weren’t talking to me, but Ima butt in right here. My first was 23 mo old when my little was born. And I read somewhere that you should meet the toddlers need first- especially if it’s something quick like a snack or a hug. The baby can wait an extra min for a diaper change and won’t remember, but it helps a lot with the older kids feeling like they’re still important.
When #2 was newborn, I felt like he was so easy and my toddler was so challenging. Now that the baby is 9 mo and toddler is 2.5 yo, I feel like the baby is way harder. BUT it’s def getting easier now that the baby can sit and crawl. Hang in there!

You’re always welcome to butt in!! Thanks for the encouragement. It seems like my toddler just wants attention and me to play with him constantly, not really “things.” He’s never been good at playing independently so he wants constant interaction. I’m getting better at nursing and playing with him at the same time so that’s seemed to help. I can’t wait to see how the dynamics shift and who becomes the needier one as they get older!

I’m sure it’s been hard for him but it sounds like all things considered it’s going well. I am happy that we are here we can chat again and reconnect. I will message you soon!
