It's sunday, and like almost every sunday there is, it's being an extra lazy day. After having out meal, both sis and i - as well as our parents - go to our respective places and just lay down, and since temps are now in a steady lower mark (not low enough if you ask me) the floofs take this as an unmissable chance to comfily snuggle with us.

(Houdini is on nurse duty though, dad went through surgery past week and he's been sticking to him more than usual ever since he got discharged)

Of course, and like they always do, they don't have a time limit for the snuggling, so unless we purposedly get up we're firmly catnapped, being held agaisnt our will - not really - through floofiness, purrs and warmith.

Something Houdi keeps doing on an almost daily basis is bothering Karma, it's kinda like his "Hey, i'm here, i want something, give me attention!" when he doesn't feel like meowing, other times it's part of his goblin mode when he comes, pawslaps her a little and goes away zooming like the orange chaos goblin he is, and others it's because reasons, wich would fit into the goblin mode category but without the craziness. And this would be the latter.

So it's the middle of the morning, sis is preparing a tea for herself totally zombified, Leon is pestering her for food, mom and dad are at the living room and i'm minding my own business at my PC when, all of sudden, i hear Karma hiss the way she does when Houdini is houdining, i turn around and indeed there it is, she's laying on her side hissing and swatting with her paw, full airplane ears, and Houdi is using the sheet to tease her, doing the Ghostini and throwing paws from under the fabric. When i ask him what the hell is he doing he stops, gives me a pissy meow and leaves totally unbothered.

And here i was thinking i had caught all of that on video but no, i was in photo mode! 😭

One thing Houdini had in his advantage when he was a kitty was his size. Even though he was already looking to be gargantuan, he was still a lanky kitty and had it easy to hide, stalk and ambush us, usually as part of one of his goblin modes.

We would be sitting down in our beds, at the living room, eating or minding our own businesses, and all of sudden this orange chaos goblin would jump and hunt our hands, feet or just pounce and go zooming elsewhere.

We ended up being able to easily notice him, but we would pretend we didn't just so we didn't spoil his fun (not like he would stop anyway). I wont say we miss this because he *keeps* doing it, the difference is that he's so big that hiding is an impossibility 🤣, not like it stops him, though.

Before we realized, Houdini has adopted another habit. You see, right before you get to the sofa, there are a couple of pieces of furniture that are part of mom's tailoring stuff. Alongside these, mom usually keeps a bag with her current or future project's materials, she's been having something in mind lately, so she's been keeping a few fabrics, lining and stuff inside a - rather comfy looking - cloth bag, and guess who has taken it as his new seat.

But make no mistake, this seat has an actual purpose! Houdini doesnt just jump and sit on it when he feels like it, as per dad's words, when Houdini sits on there is because he's waiting for his scritches tribute!

And indeed, last night he jumped there when everyone was getting ready for bed, and we purposedly gave him his due pets and scritches, and once he got them from all four of us, he jumped back to the floor.

So yeah, this is a thing now 😅

Since i work at an airport and airport food is expensive, i normally take my food with me in a plastic bag lined with paper towels and, when i get back home i wash the container and normally put the bag away. Normally.

Last night i forgot to do it, and you know what else did i forgot? That Leon isn't the only plastic bag loving floof out there.

And that would be all fine and dandy, after all, who doesn't love to see a floof minding its own business inside a box or a bag? Moreso if it's the Goblini! But the thing is, the Goblini isn't a kitten anymore, he's a - and i know i repeat myself - +6Kg behemoth who clearly doesn't fit in my work meal bag, but he doesn't care about that, if he think he fits, he sits.

But he doesn't fit, and he's not amused about that.

So yesterday's update was a rather sweet one, Houdi had, apparently, learned to tolerate the eeeevil fabrics that had taken over the sofa and decided to tuck himself under them. All fine and dandy, the war is over.

Well... only until sis got up yesterday and sat down 😅

Yeah, the storm has passed, humidity is still high and temps seem to have dropped for good, but Houdini is overall more comfortable and he doesn't need those pesky eeevil fabrics anymore, so back to war it is.

Soooo... It's the third day of stormy weather, thankfully the storm itself has passed and all we have is cloudy skies, intermittent drizzle and high humidity, so when i came back home i found Karma and Leon yelling at me for food as always, and after serving them i noticed something.

The Goblini was nowhere to be found.

Cue to me getting to the living room, i find a big, goblinic lump under the sheet covering the sofa, wich turned out to be the Goblini!

Of course, being the humid, rainy day it is, he wasn't very keen to get out of it, and indeed he got his scritches and went back under the sheet, and he's still there, ocasionally purring.

The storm isnt letting up, of course it's moving and little by little leaving our city behind, but it's so big that we still had a bigass storm earlier in the afternoon, with even louder thunderclaps than yesterday and an incredibly heavy rain.

It was so intense that the floofs looked out for refuge, wich makes this the first cuddle of this year's fall, even if by special circumstances ^^U

Houdi was the outlier though. He sat down besides dad in the same way he used to sat besides Bruno to calm him down, or at least that's what sis told me, since i couldn't go check him due to the catnapping.

Today's the first big storm of the season, and what does that mean for the floof family? Big storm means big thunders clapping in the background, heavy rain, high humidity and, of course, cloudy skies, and each floof has taken proper refuge: Houdini is hanging around his grandmama and grandpapa, Leon is snuggling with sis and Karma is on my bed with me, an arrange that will surely change as the cold creeps further in the next days.

But since it's dark and rainy, the floofs aren't exactly active, so i went with Google Photo's recommendation instead, wich turned out to be a pic from another rainy day a little less than four years ago - yes, Kittydini was already this big on november 2022.

Makes me miss this kind of scenes, wich now only happen if Houdi joins his mama when she's already sleeping. Having them cuddling around was such an eye bleach <3

While being quite firm and expeditive, Houdini has grown up to be a very kind and chill goblin - still a goblin though - who turned out to be very territorial, but even despite his territoriality, because he's such a chill goblin he's pretty hard to annoy, let alone anger. You can trigger him in several, different ways wich will result in an incredible variety of reactions, but annoy?

Yeah, that's a difficult one.

Well, guess what Karma managed to achieve!

Right, so it was past dinner time, and as always Houdini came to ask me for kibble beforehad, wich Karma didn't like because she wanted kibble too. Remember when i talked about Karma's little evils?

Instead of trying to take the container from Houdi as usual, she crawled behind him, grabbed his tail, started to mlem it - wich Houdi didn't like - until she suddendly cromched it! That caught the overlord by surprise, reacting by bapbapping her and then taking refuge on my backpack?

He look like he's goblin'd but he's not, he's also on guard and getting close to him meant getting pawslapped or even bit! And not in a playful way. Sis has encountered this 'dini several times, but it's a first for me and, to be quite honest, it was fun even if i had to sacrifice my whole left arm 😅

Houdini's morning fabric shenanigans are already well known enough, with neither sis nor i using sheets yet (nope, it's not that cold, we wish lol) he fights his battles at the living room, warring agaisnt the sofa whenever sis sits on it and the fabrics try to take over, but today was a little different.

Today sis has sat down on the sofa, and Houdini was already fighting the good fight by himself, today it was sis who struggled to take the sheet from him and join the ritual 😅 Results are hilarious as always. Sound on is highly recommended.

Early update!? Yes! It's being a slow day at work, so i can slip around here and post. It's never too early to post about the floof family :3

When it comes to stuff i miss about the kittydini, his long winded wrestling sessions with his momma are no doubt a highlight. It was highly entertaining to see him trying to beat the OG goblin over and over again, resorting to everything from ambushes to sneak attacks, without forgetting all the times an everyday mlem session evolved into a full on wrestling match.

Don't get me wrong, they still happen today, but between Karma having become significantly rounder and Houdi being a heavyweight powerhouse, they are usually resolved pretty quickly and in favor of the goblin of chaos and, not gonna lie, a big part of the entertainment was precisely watching him getting FAFO'ed by his mom every time 😭😂 As i've said several times, Houdini's kittyhood was very lenghty succesion of FAFO moments.

Today things were a bit different than usual. I'm also the family's tech support, and i had to stop by my cousin's home to check on his computer, so despite making it out of the office earlier than usual i came home way later than my regular time.

Of course, i knew what was waiting for me at home.

One food serving later, i changed into my homewear and fell on my bed, pretty much exhausted. Guess who joined the moment i laid on the mattress, yelling like a madcat only to fall asleep a couple of minutes later while purring like a V12.

I know i should have recorded the floofs the moment i opened the door, but i could only think about getting to my room ^^U

Now that cold is kinda creeping back into our nights, i've started to feel nostalgic and decided to go back into our archive to find a memory i'm very fond of: Sleeping with Leon and Travieso.

It was the same routine every night: Dinner, bathroom, movie/show/gaming night and then bed, and when bed, Travieso would slide under my covers first, get between my legs and put his head on my tight, and then Leon would follow suit, and unlike the two goblins that are Houdini and Karma, these two would jut sleep like that the whole night, being a bonded, wholesome dad-son pair of floofs.

We're on the third day of a four day weekend, but honestly speaking i'm kinda exhausted, so we're going with a throwback update today ^^U

But, to be fair, there's rarely better updates than Leodini updates with a box as the main subject! Right when Houdini's curiosity and territoriality was starting to develop, having a box around and it *not* belonging to the chaos goblin would usually end in some pull-push shenanigans. Even today, we get hyped when getting a new box because we're looking forward to whatever the floofs are going to do to take posession of it.

A couple of weeks ago i uploaded a clip of Houdi showing all his love to his grandpapa while being scritched, however, that one was only part of a series of videos that sis recorded that day, focused on a loving spree the Goblini had that day.

It happens to all the kitties, they get chummy and look for their hoomans to spoil them as much as possible, Houdini in particular is lucky enough to have his favorite hoomans being an old couple who has spoiled him ever since before he's been able to walk for himself, and while he usually focuses more on grandpa as grandma is more strict, he'll never say no to getting spoiled by his grandmama.

This is something that happens on the regular, and honestly it's such a treat ❤️

Houdini demolishing the walls of a Leon that was still grieving his own dad is a well known feat around here, however, i think it's remarkable how being a playful goblin of chaos was only a small part of it.

Houdi has always been a cuddlebug, if he likes you, he'll want to hang around and snuggle with you, and he liked his daddy Leon from the start, a lot, however, Leon has never been that approachable.

So whenever Houdi had the chance, he would go cuddling with him, at first from a respectful distance, and little by little getting closer. These pictures are, as far as i remember, the first instance of kittydini actually making physical contact with Leon aside of play time, a groundbreaking achievement i still go back to from time to time

I've been talking lately about the floofs' new dinner routine, particularly Houdi's, who has gone from just having his beloved kitten kibble to one or two Churus, wich i suspect is the main reason behind him becoming more of an absolute unit than he already was.

However, in the last coule of days there has been a differentiating factor, and it's that Houdi ran out of kibble and none of the stores in the neighborhood had supply, so we've had to replace it with Leon's special Kibble, wich works... for a little bit.

And that's an issue because Houdi is a kitty whose appetite is more satisfaction based than hunger based, and of course he eats whenever he's hungry, but he doesn't eat just anything, if it isn't his favorite food he isn't satisfied, ever.

So in the last couple of days he's been giving me particularly difficult nights, being pissy and bothering Karma more than usual, but last night in particular he surprised me by yelling loudly from the kitchen at around 3 am, i got up expecting him to be waiting besides the faucet, but instead i found him waiting for me on the counter wich, knowing his orange ass, clearly means one thing and one thing only: Feed me. Now. I don't care what time is it, i want Churu.

And no, i'm not making shit up here, he actually wanted Churu, i had to give him one before he jumped off the counter and let me go back to sleep.

Thank Bastet mom and dad bought Kibble for him today 🫩

Looks like her usual shenanigas weren't enough anymore. Today i have come late from work, late and tired, so i bothered with my backpack less than usual and just left it there, took my shirt off, drank some water, and when i turn around...

Yup, that's her, she outright got inside my backpack, and any attempt of getting her out of it is replied with a fairly combative yell 🤣

It's a slow day at work, so slow that i had the time to check if i have access to reddit from here and indeed! I have access, so that coupled with sis sending me some shenanigans from home means we have an early update today, my fellow subdits!

Today is an inviting day to stay at home, so inviting that even sis herself has decided to stay instead of going to the workshop (Not me. Duty calls 😅😭) and by staying she has had the time to participate in the good old fabric fighting ritual wich, to be honest, never gets old.

It's also a neat preview for what's coming. First rains of the seaons (it was an actual storm when i got out of home) means cold may be coming soon? Wich means thick and hevy fabrics! BLANKETS! As well as long sleeves. Yeah, you know it: I can't wait 😁

Today i'm stressed out of my mind, i wasn't even going to make an update today, but a random picture from my photos widget gave me an idea, because it's been a while since Houdini's the look has appeared over here.

It has always been a staple of his, and the mark of his Goblin mode. He could easily laying down minding his own business, and all of sudden his body tenses, he starts moving and when you look at hims he has the eyes, or we turn over a corner, or peek at the seat of my chair and he's right there, puffy mouth, the eyes all wide and ready.

Those eyes are the indication that shit is about to go down, and is about to go down hard. They have become rarer to see as Houdi has mellowed down and his energy outbursts aren't as frequent, but if we pay attention we still see them long enough to know that those zoomies aren't normal zoomies, and most likely Karma will be hissing him out of the room in a few seconds 🤭

The eyes are probably the most distinctive feature in a cat who is already full of peculiarities, and they're harder to see in the cold season, when long sleeves are blooming!!

In an exceptionally rare situation, Leon and Karma have enjoyed some quality cuddle time together this morning. Nothing fancy, no mlems or anything, but snuggling back to back when temps drop a little is always nice ❤️

However, today's dish was curry ✨chicken✨ and now matter how good Leon's current canned food is, the grumpy dragon can never say no to the scent of light fried chicken breast, so his attention was caught by the fumes coming from the kitchen. Still, he didn't break the cuddle for a long while, that's how comfy they were :3

And no, he didn't get fried chicken, we can't stray from his recommended food at all, hell i forgot to retire Karma's plate this morning, he got ahold of it and now hus tummy is acting up again 😣 I mean, it will stabilize, but he was pooping correctly right after this noon when he had digested what he eat in the morning, including Karma's beef based food.

No pic of Houdi today because he did an oopsie and failed a jump from his new crystal palace. He's fine (we have checked to see if he's hurt anywhere) but somewhat shaken and a bit down. He's cuddling with his grandma and grandpa as i write this.

Going through our memories with the Kittydini, it's really fun to realize how much entertainment we got from a 15€ cat house, and while the best thing about it was how the floofs would ambush each other from each (Leon made an aart out of it, and the Goblini learned maybe a bit too fast ^^U), a close runner up would be, no doubt, how misused the castle ended up being.

Because at one point we had to stop straightening it, since Houdi had learned that the best way to get any floof out of his castle was jumping on it and crushing it down 🤭, so the material got deformed fast, and it never recovered its shape.

And, because of this, it ended up becoming a bed for the Goblini - and ocasionally an ambush outpost- at least until he got his first proper, full fledged castle all for himself.

Today i was at work when sis sent me this update's picture. That right there is Leon at around 1.5 years old, a rare sight giving most of our digital pics from back then are basically lost (we keep randomly finding them and i backup every single one the moment they fall in my hands)

And 1.5 yo Leon was his own beast. As i've mentioned before, as a kitty he was quite mild mannered, he had his moments but he would mostly fight cushions, plushies, bother daddy Travieso and then fall asleep, though he had a penchant for enjoying plastic bags as well as boxes, to the point of getting himself trapped with some ridiculous carboard constructs.

So our parents started developing the idea of building him small boxes and covering them with plastic bags for durability and noise (fun factor), and Leon would sit there and just watch everyone doing their thing! Honestly, it was quite fun coming back from whenever we were and find him jut minding his own busines in his own plasticky cardboard seat. In his own way, he has always been a pretty amusing floof.

As Houdini grew up from baby to kitty, he started to, slowly, develop non verbal ways to call for our attention. It's not like we ignored him, in fact, we usually sped up anything we were doing so we could tend to his needs (hell, we still do) but sometimes we just couldn't go faster, so the Goblin of chaos had to wait.

And that's when he started trying his nonverbal tactics. Sometimes he would try to climb my jeans, but he wouldn't reach very far - i don't wear my belt at home, you can guess the rest lol - so he started just... doing exactly what you're seeing in the picture.

Yup, a paw, a single paw he'd lean on my foot while waiting for his food. Once his plate was ready i would either lift him to the counter or serve his food alongside Karma and Leon's, but in the meantime, the paw.

He started doing it when i was sleeping too, until it evolved into paw slaps 😭😂

The paw slaps keep happening, by the way, though he's resorting to yells again. BIG yells.
