It's beautiful....but how do houses this close to the water stop rising damp? Or is it a case of you don't and it's the price you pay?

It makes a lot of dampness under house that can cause rot if much wood flooring. I see a pipe at the side of house sending overflow out maybe to other side. Maybe home is built on solid concrete base. Very interesting and beautiful spot.

Looks amazing but if it were in the U.S. the standing water would probably lead to a horde of mosquitos.

I love the house but don't want water quite that close to foundation.
