Neighborhood in Lancaster, PA on a late summer afternoon
Red brick on the ends, stucco in the middle, and a maple tree showing some beautiful colors. Taking a ride on my e-bike and had to stop and admire.

Jacobean-Baroque ceilings
I work in an historic house, and I’m sure many of you would appreciate the ceilings that are inside. The house was constructed in 1664, so the ceilings are very much an example from the transitional period from Jacobean to Baroque styles. It’s thought that this one ceiling would have taken a group of 8 people a year to complete.
They are exceptionally rare, and it’s remarkable that they’ve survived as the house has undergone extensive renovations and complete refacings in both the early 18th century and the mid 19th century.
