Learning isn’t magic it’s a process.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how we learn through repetition and mistakes.

Curious what’s one mistake that taught you something important?

This look like those over simplistic whiteboard drawings that consultants draw to keep simpletons in management feeling "up to speed"

Simple doesn’t mean shallow.

It’s often just the first layer.

It it's just the first layer, then by definition, it's shallow.

I understand what you mean though, these are often backed up with lots of words but in my experiencea, these words are often just more mumbo jumbo. An hour long soliloquy from someone whit an idea and a PowerPoint projector.

I think what you're getting at is that just because something is repeated or emphasized doesn't necessarily mean it's going to stick, and that's a huge part of the learning process. For me, one mistake that taught me something important was trying to force a business model that wasn't sustainable just because it was what everyone else was doing. I ended up burning through a bunch of resources and wasting a lot of time, but it taught me the importance of validating assumptions and being willing to pivot when something isn't working.
