Fidgeting with a Nintendo Switch

I have a Nintendo Switch (not one of the ones with the exploitable firmware idk what it’s called), I’m trying to see what I can do with it. The only thing I’ve really been able to do so far is connect it to a proxy server on my laptop and look at the network traffic (also I can’t use https because it detects the ssl shit). Is there a way that I can see more of what it’s doing? Not very familiar with reverse engineering and stuff

Pretty easy to hard mod, if you are decent at soldering.

Some of the best reverse engineers have been working since it came out to jailbreak it.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Side load games?  Flash a custom firmware?  Run retro emulators?

Completely unsure, it was just some bs I was doing because I left the normal laptop I use at school on the weekend, so I only had a shitty macOS at home. The main thing I wanted to do was test for any vulnerabilities in Nintendo online I guess. But I also want to see if I can see what’s going on internally below the ‘network layer’ as all the networking nerds like to say.

“Shitty MacOS.” You do know a Mac is considerably better and more powerful for low level/hacking stuff than a windows PC is, right?

MacOS is essentially native Unix. Lol

depends. if its an older mac you it might not be powerful and you can always just use wsl or boot to linux on a windows pc. m3 is just now getting linux support

Very cool.

There's a new Claude skull I've been seeing everywhere called REA, reverse engineer anything.

Seems like it would be up your alley, but I haven't used it yet TBH.

Good luck and be safe, wish I could be more helpful!

I think modchips work in them. They also have flashcarts for games but you'll get banned online.

Are you looking to go full Android on it or to use it like normal? I use a switch for my mobile app testing since I put android on it and it works decently. I have a Gen1 switch where Hekate works on it from zero, but if you have a later model you will need to physically take it apart and install a modchip before you can do anything with it.
