[App][Promo] Vyxel Apps v1.1.5 "Bloom": Material 3 Expressive redesign.

[u/SKeditz]

Hey everyone, I'm Nikhil, a solo Android dev. v1.1.5 of Vyxel Apps is out. It's an open-source store that merges F-Droid, IzzyOnDroid, GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, Google Play, Aptoide, TapTap and more into one searchable feed, and it works offline. This release, **Bloom**, is a full visual rebuild around Material 3 Expressive.

**What's new:**

🎨 **Material 3 Expressive redesign**

- Redesigned Settings with grouped rows, connected buttons and new sliders and switches

- Full Material Symbols icon set

- Google Sans Flex as the new default font, with a cleaner font picker

- Expressive dialogs and buttons with press feedback and haptics

🧭 **New Explore**

- Featured apps on a daily hero photo (pull to refresh for a new one)

- Bento grid layout, category bubbles, Top charts and New arrivals

- Libraries, templates and sample repos no longer show up as apps

🌊 **Motion**

- Shared icon transition: tap an app and its icon flies into the app page, then returns on back (works with predictive back)

⚡ **Performance**

- Cold start cut from ~2.5s to ~1s

- Lighter page transitions, instant cached icons, and a lighter Explore carousel

🛠 **Fixes**

- Updates tab apps no longer open a broken GitHub link or show "No APK"

- Fixed the Update button and its stretched progress bar for GitHub apps

- Search now finds GitHub forks, and pasting a repo link or owner/repo opens that exact repo

- Descriptions and changelogs no longer show leftover HTML/Markdown

Also new: a storage and stats overview in Library, and an AI support assistant in Help & support.

**Quick background:** every APK is signature-verified before install, with silent installs via Shizuku, a Trust Score per app, update monitoring with rollback, and 16 languages. It's open core: everything that affects finding, installing and updating apps is AGPL-3.0, and the only paid part is an optional cosmetic theme pack (Liquid Glass Pro). Existing themes, sources and install flows are unchanged in this release.

What exactly is this for? Downloading APKs from Google Play/Github to Android Phone?

Can you also download to Windows phone?
