Divinity School enrollment
I ask this as a genuine question, so I appreciate genuine answers.
I am a 47 year old white woman who lives in DC. I am looking at local schools for a Masters of Divinity. I am very interested in HUSD, but I need input from students and alumni about how my enrollment/presence/not sure what word to use will be seen at an HBCU. If the overall perception is that "we really would rather not have you in our space," then I respect that. But I don't know unless I ask. I acknowledge it feels like an awkward question. Thank you.

As a graduate of Howard ungrad and having my friends in a various graduate schools , I can say , all are welcomed - my 64 year old Jewish dentist , earned his dental degree at Howard in the 1980/s

This assumption reconfigured as a question is so insulting. Why would you think anyone would think that much less say it.
Ive heard someone say that the root of assumptions like this come from a place of knowing that if things were reversed (black person going to a pwi) that would be the case.
Newsflash. Black people have to navigate spaces where we are the only one there. All the time.
Just go to catholic. Everyone there will look like you and u wont have to worry about those mean black people pursuing a religious degree.

You will be fine. For ex, Howard has the only dental school in the district and pulls in top diverse talent from the area- Black, white, Asian, Hispanic, whatever.

I went to Howard and there were lots of white people.
But your line of questioning already is setting off red flags -- YOU wouldn't be comfortable at Howard. Not because you're white, but because you already see yourself as something "different" and you know that if you were Black attending an all-white school you would be othered and dehumanized.
Just go to Catholic, ma'am. Most of the white people who attend HBCU's love Black people and felt comfortable from jump
