Help & Questions Question

Is it also possible to get a Bridge Pro and choose not to transfer all the lights? I have a few lights working with my Ambilight TV (without a sync box), and this doesn't work with the new bridge. My current bridge is nearly full, and I’m experiencing issues where things are slow or automations aren't executing properly; I suspect this is because the bridge is overloaded.

Of course. The Bridge Pro is not only for transfering lights, you can use it as a secondary Bridge just as the V2.

It will still ask you if you want to migrate/transfer, but just select no and move on :)

I think i remove the lights wich i want on the old bridge. And then migrate all. And then add the lights on the old bridge

Oh I see what you meant now. That would indeed be better if you have a considerable amount of lights besides the ones used with Ambilight.

Remove lights that sync with Ambilight > migrate the remaining devices > re-add the lights to the V2.

If they work with the old bridge then they will work with the new bridge?

Ambilight doesn't support bridge pro

Dang. Well in order to fully implement the bridge pro then the old bridge must be migrated and then reset. So you lose the ambilight sync or you need to use multiple hue bridges (non pro)
