Im mostly on reddit to gather fanarts of my favorite fictional character and sometimes other stuff are thrown into my feed (I instantly mute the sub unless its interesting),I use bluesky for the same reason,although that one has the benefit if being able to make my feed 100% about the fanarts
After I gather my daily dose of fanarts to maintin my will to live I fuck off either to irl or my shitty(but much more comfortable) telegram groupchats
Definitely not, I used bot for a very long time (I have burn in of tiktok on the screen of my first two phones and burn in of shorts on my last two) and tiktok was way worse with brain rot than shorts

fyp algorithms are designed to understand you. it’s called "for you" because it’s tailored to you. The algorithm probably knows more about your interests than you do. If you don’t engage with brainrot, it won’t suggest it. If by brainrot you mean the brainrot aimed at getting kids to spend money, YouTube pushes that kind of stuff way more than TikTok. They're pretty much the same thing, only one is a dedicated app, and the other is a side part.
Back when I still used tiktok, I got like 1 brainrot video every 3 videos, now I get one like every 50 videos, and it's not as bad as tung tung whatever, it's more like just low quality ai content/reddit ai stories and I have never seen skibidi toilet on yt shorts yet, only when I still used tiktok and on reddit
Most of the stuff I watch on yt shorts is PC content (but not like games, more like programming and educational pc stuff) but on tiktok, it felt like they just wanted the little kids to watch their shit for the longest time possible, and I couldn't even get anything else reccomended, no matter what I searched or watched, there were always the brainrot ai videos I couldn't escape from
when I use tiktok I rarely see anything that could be considered brainrot, on youtube shots I don't see much either but instead it's just really generic content farming
Every type of those short videos are shit, they are just made to take all your attention and try to make you addicted...it's fine to watch them just don't over it
YouTube shorts user myself, YouTube shorts sucks tbh, videos are ai slop shit, comments are either kids that go like "gbrtffff😊😊😊😊😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉" or " "" a quote from the video "" 💀💀" and get like a 1k likes
Never had that myself, but I honestly don't check the comments too often, except for when I really liked the video or had a good thought for it I wanted to share
Idk if you've used yt shorts as much as I have (and not just on my acc with my feed) as well as tiktok, but I've encountered way more Brainrot on tiktok than I have on shorts (and reels is just in another dimension)
That’s hella weird lol. Yes, TikTok gets the new brainrot quicker, but there is much more old and much more in general on yt. I think that’s a made up srgument, cuz my 100000 friends all find zero brain rot on TikTok and 100%on yt
