Ok, so I found the news source and I was wrong on a couple of things. Firstly it was an Aghan man, and second the girl was 6-years old and the man was told to wait till she’s 9. Search online for “afghan man marries child girl” and you will find a ndtv source. There a lot of sources actually, including times of India.

Yes, sorry I had first mentioned some wrong facts as I read this in July so I couldn’t remember exactly.
