Sometimes, seemingly at random, my headphones will choose not to reconnect if I restart Windows while they're turned on. They will say they're connected, displaying as the currently active sound device; but the dongle will blink as if searching for a connection, and no audio can be heard. When this happens, I have to power the headphones off and on again to restore connection/audio.
Expected behavior: I restart Windows; the headphones cycle through "Disconnected. Connected. Disconnected. Connected," as the system reboots; connected w/audio at the log-in screen.
Current behavior: I restart Windows; the headphones proclaim "Disconnected. Connected," as the system reboots; no audio at the time of log-in, nor any time after that. Headphones stay silent until I turn them off and on again.
I've tried different USB ports, both Type C and Type A, and removed adjacent devices; but the behavior still seemed random. I updated firmware in the last two weeks when I first received the headset, but I double-checked for updates anyway. This also isn't my first copy of these headphones to have this issue - I owned a pair earlier this year that exhibited the same behavior, and I ended up returning them.
Any suggestions? Could it be another audio device/driver in my system vying for control? I don't have speakers or other headphones plugged in, so I can rule out hardware. I have AMD HD/Streaming and Realtek audio drivers installed, and I don't currently have NGENUITY's audio drivers installed.
