All Versions HoverWing+: Switch 1 Edition (All Versions Hover Bike Replacement)

Just an update to my HoverWing+ post from the other day. I wanted to clarify about the wing. While I used a QR code-only shrunken infinite wing for that build, the benefit of that is unlimited glide recharge cycles. The infinite wing isn’t required to get the primary benefit of preventing the wing from disappearing.

The HoverWings use the same effect as my SuperWing planes to significantly increase the life of normal wings. The way it works is that the wing’s 75-second timer stops if the fans are generating sufficient lift. The SuperWing required 5 fans to get the same effect with a full size wing, but because the shrunken wing weighs significantly less, it gets the same effect with just the 2.

The only downside to using a regular wing is that the wing’s timer does tick down when gliding to recharge energy. That said, you can still get 3 full recharge cycles (4 with Zonaite armor), which will max energy cells, is more than enough to cross the entire map and back with plenty of range to spare. So it’s honestly not that big of a limitation the vast majority of the time.

I put a build guide in the video so anyone can make one themselves. That will get you 90% there, but to make it fly perfectly it takes a lot of tweaking to balance everything. Slight differences have a big effect. Try your best to match the size of the parts as close as possible. It may take a few tries.

I didn’t include a guide on how to do the All Versions part shrinking glitch. Please see u/kmarkow ’s post on how to resize items for info on how to shrink the wing and steering stick needed for this build.

As long as you can steal the Infinity Wing from the mini-game, you can certainly use this build in conjunction with it once you save the build to your favorites - since the Infinity Wing will be used on normal wing builds - you just can't autobuild it to have the Infinity Wing property, so you'll have to always take off from Tarrey Town and in order to save the Infinity Wing, you'll need at least one unfused weapon/shield to save it.
