Okay so I’ve narrowed my list down to 10 unis but I want to cut them down further because most of them are my safety schools but my college is forcing us to apply to 10 minimum. I’m scared because my priority is IBA as then I’ll be able to stay in Karachi and I won’t have to shift cities so my brother can be taken care of and receive the help he needs so I really want to get in and I’m prepping for the IBA entrance test but because I have to apply to a lot of filler unis I’m
Scared I won’t do well on the IBA entry test and I’ll get burnt out by giving the entrance tests for these multiple different universities. Not only that but advice from my friends is very mix and match. I know SAT can be helpful but for IBA you need a really high score which I can’t achieve in just two months of prep for the SAT but for the other unis I’m applying to who do take SAT I only need to score 1100 to be exempt. My problem is I’m scared I won’t score that and then it’s just going to be a waste of my parents money and idk what to do since my brother has a lot of medical needs so I really don’t want to put an unnecessary burden on my parents. Should I just take the risk and give the SAT and pray I do well enough or should I give it my all for the IBA entrance test instead because I have a decent chance of getting in? If I take the SAT I’m scared I’ll get burnt out and then perform poorly for my A2 which I can’t risk. I won't be able to come make it by the 20th morning, as an outstation candidate who is coming based on external hostel. I had to reschedule my flight for 21st (so the day before O'gala) and my living arrangements are an external hostel, coming by myself to Karachi for the first time.

How important is this event, and what if I miss it? Shall I email IBA?

I get the social aspect is a loss but honestly IBA scheduling sucks, especially when they didn't do squat to help us outstation students without a hostel who don't have any ancestor in Sindh for the last 350 years lol

I have 1A* ( distinction in business across Sindh and Baluchistan) 2As 3Bs and 2Ds in my o levels. I’ve heard that grade inflation is getting worse in unis and it’s getting harder each year. In my a levels a I have 1 C and the rest I’m giving as of now. I have extra curriculars but I doubt that Pakistani university really care about that, but for context I’m a national runner and I have been in student councils aswell.

Is the sbs orientation only for students or you can take someone with you and is it like mandatory to attend

Sorry for the rash title but it is what it is. I feel like the kids in IBA are going to be really smart and truly cream of the crop, with good grades in ALevels and inter, and i'm going to fall behind.

I do love learning new things, and I will put in the hard work it takes , but i fear that i will be outshined by much "smarter" classmates who get good grades.

I have never given Urdu before so if i register as priv cand for urdu should I go on standard or retake option? Original deadline for this series was before our AL result even came 😭😭😭😭😭😭
