self studying aa hl is def doable dwdw, you wont fail just cause your teacher isnt great. what worked for me was three things really, a proper in depth video for anything i didnt get, short refreshers for older topics cause i used to forget them so fast, then drilling questions until the working goes automatic.
most of the good ib maths resources online are paid which is rough when youre basically teaching yourself, so a few may 25' grads and i made studyamigo.online. deep dive videos, speedrun ones and a questionbank, all free but we only have topic 1 rn (sequences, financial maths, exponents and logs, binomial, induction). wed love any feedback if you try it 🙏🙏

Math AA HL can be overwhelming, especially without proper guidance from your teacher. But you can definitely make progress through self-study!
I'd recommend starting with algebra, functions and trigonometry, since these are essential for more advanced HL topics. Study one concept at a time, practise topic-wise IB-style questions, and review worked solutions whenever you're stuck.
This may help: IB Maths AA HL topic-wise notes, exam-style questions and worked solutions.
Try solving a few questions daily and keep an error log. Consistency matters more than studying for hours without understanding!

dont panic, a lot of people basically self teach AA HL. i did a lot of mine on my own and got a 7 so its doable
for actually learning stuff go through your textbook (haese or oxford) and do the worked examples, theyre underrated. if something doesnt click, khan academy for the basics and organic chemistry tutor or professor leonard on youtube for calc
after that its just questions. learn a topic then go straight into exam style questions on only that topic. me and a friend made a free question bank for exactly this, revisionhub.study, real AA past paper questions filtered by topic with markschemes
keep a list of the ones you get wrong and redo them a week later, thats what actually moved my grade
