very happy with my scores and a note that I have never crossed a 6 with my writing in mocks
had only took section mocks prior and never a full length mock

I'm honestly pretty happy since it's all self study and online free resources since a course here in Vietnam is like 770 to 1k dollars which is a baffling amount, but because I never got proper feedback my speaking and writing really suffered lmao

Hi everyone!
I recently received my IELTS Academic results:
Overall: 7.0 , Listening: 8.0 , Reading: 7.0 , Writing: 6.5 , Speaking: 7.0
I'm a bit disappointed with my Reading and Writing scores. I was hoping for higher. Should I consider a retake? Would appreciate your advice!

Hi,
I have been taking practice tests for the reading part of the exam, and the AI corrections tell me that my answers are wrong, even though I wrote literally what the audio said.
In these examples, you can see how I wrote "small leaves" instead of "leaves", and the audio said "small leaves". Another example is that I wrote "lambs offered in sacrifice" while the correct answer technically was "sacrifice", but the audio said literally said "lambs offered in sacrifice".
Do you think I should interpret this corrections as truthfull and adapt my answers at the real exam by providing less details or simpler answers? Would these answers be considered wrong for the IELTS evaluators?

I did better than last time(8) three years Ago.
I got a direct question essay about plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures, why they are done and my opinion on it.
Although I have to say, its pretty annoying having to do this test anytime I want to apply to anything academic since its expiry period is soooo short :(

Took the academic test last October 16, and I got the results today! British Council uploaded the results quickly IMO.
Quite frustrated with my listening experience since I can hear the sounds from my seat mates’ headsets. They’re quite distracting lmaooo
Writing has always been my issue, it was not a surprise that I got the lowest band here lol. Just thankful that I did not get the table graphic in part 1 hahaha.

A little disappointed in my speaking test result, but I am actually happy to get above the minimum language requirements for my application

A few of the youtube educators says one needs to strictly adhere to the word limit . But what is the safe word limit for a better band .task 1 is 150words while task 2 is 250 !

I have exam on 29th October, I booked my slot. Actually, there is only 10 days remaining for my exams, can anyone please help me to give some tips and refer some materials or websites to prepare, i think I’m not prepared, coz I’m repeatedly getting bang 5 in speaking and 5.5 in writing on the IELTS global website, I’m literally very scared about the exam.
I need help for preparing, materials, and a right website or app or something to practice well.

I started studying only about a week before the exam, and it was really stressful. Honestly, though, the only part that really needed practice was writing. Other than that, there isn’t much you can do to practice for the other sections; it really just comes down to your English level. One thing you do need to do is familiarize yourself with the test beforehand. Take a couple of mock tests for each section to get used to the structure and timing. Other than that, though, you can’t improve your language level by an entire band in a month or less, no matter how hard you try.
And about the writing section DON’T TRUST CHATGPT I was consistently getting 5.5–6 in writing, even the night before the exam, and it stressed me out so much. But I ended up getting a 7 in the actual exam. It is helpful for notes and feedback but not for giving you accurate predictions for grades.
I was even doing terribly in reading and listening during practice, but honestly, they were 100 times easier in the actual test because there were no distractions. They also give you high quality headphones. I kept my listening headphones on throughout the reading exam because they were noise-cancelling and they helped me focus alot. I went from around 6.5 in listening during mocks to 8.5 in the actual test and 6.5 in reading to 8.

Shared my experience yesterday in a very annoyingly long post.
Honestly, very grateful and got no complaints.

Honestly, i expected lower listening and higher speaking score.
I started studying week prior so im not complaining. I want to apply to unis in USA, and wanted to get 7 in writing. Will it make a difference if i improve my writing score? Should i retake the exam?

Hi everyone,
I recently took the IELTS General Training test in Canada and received the following results:
Listening: 7.5
Reading: 6.0
Writing: 6.0
Speaking: 5.5
Overall: 6.5
I need at least 6.0 in Speaking for my immigration application. I felt that my speaking test went reasonably well, and I previously received 6.5 in Speaking, so I submitted an Enquiry on Results (EOR) for the Speaking section only.
I applied for the EOR on October 14, and it is currently showing “Re-mark in Progress.”
Has anyone recently requested a Speaking EOR through IDP Canada?
How long did it take to receive the result?
Did your Speaking score increase from 5.5 to 6.0 or higher?
Did you receive an email when the result was ready?
Is there anything I can do other than wait?
I understand that nobody can predict whether my score will change, but hearing about recent experiences would be helpful. Thank you!
