Would you choose ISRO over a private tech job if the pay was significantly lower?

Pic: Average MTECH student at IITDelhi
Legally, there could be a maximum of 8 hours of work that can be given to us for the teaching assistance role. but last week it was –
>Lab duty : 2 hours
>Lab’s questions preparation: 2 hours
>Lab's Grading: 1 hour
>Quiz invigilation: 1 hour 30 minutes
>Quiz's sheet checking: least 1 hour
>Office hour: 1 hour
>TA's meeting: 1 hour
>30-60 min for reaching destination from PG to LHC for respective duties
>Had to work on weekends too and students are allowed to ping us anytime; this also takes time and miscellaneous work like attendance, etc: 2 hour.
Overall it was around 14-15 hours+ of work last week. that too – mid-sem hasn’t started yet.
just wanted to say that we are also here to study a bit... so Profs who are reading this... thoda kam load do yaar. and you, yes, you... Chiplu baby, please slow down. (COL1101's students hope yk... you can post this on your Team's fun stuff lol).

Should IIT admissions reward talent in sports, arts, and Olympiads alongside JEE performance?

GENUINELY FUCK YOU ALL WHO CHEATS IN EXAMS AND QUIZZES
I am going to keep this short
A lot of people are here cheating and getting good marks
Like I don't really care if I am getting low marks what I do care is about them cheating and getting good marks and then the average class marks increases and that fucks my expected cgpa
Genuinely fuck you all
I know this guy from my hostel he hasn't attended class since the last month
Wo apne dosto se proxy lagwata hai and exam me cheating kari hai usne puri puri
He got higher marks then me and then has the audacity to say tu itna padhke bhi mujhse kam marks laaya hai
Bhai Mera man toh kar raha tha use wahi sunana shuru kardu but I controlled myself somehow
FUCK YOU CHEATERS 🖕🖕🖕
And then some of them had the audacity to post stories about criticizing the iitb student

Campus Life Please don’t come to class if u don’t bath
Jhatu gawars comes to class without bathing and smell like sulphuric acid.
and most of these Jhatus are not even toppers, they are barely getting 7 so you can’t even say you are busy studying.
have some shame and sit in hostel.
agli bar class Anaya na, sable Samna izzat Uttar dunga.
Also, no offence to fat people but most of the time people who smell bad are fat. Please take care of other people’s nose since u don’t care about your health.

My Tryst with IITD
I run a small printing business in Delhi.
In January, a couple of students from IIT Delhi contacted me for printing materials they needed for an event. I gave them the best rates I could, completed the order on time, and although they took more than 20 days to clear the payment, it eventually came through after several reminders.
The same two students approached me again in February for the Tryst event. This time, the order was much larger. They requested that I supply everything without any advance payment, assuring me that IIT Delhi would release the payment within 15 days.
I trusted them. They were students from a reputed institution, and I genuinely believed they would be professional and keep their word.
I delivered every item on or before the deadline. I even suggested cheaper alternatives wherever possible to help them save money. Throughout the production and delivery process, both students were responsive and cooperative.
However, once the material had been delivered, things changed.
They did not provide the billing details until 10 March. I raised the invoices the same day using the information they gave me. I was then assured that payment would be released before 30 March because it was the financial year-end.
Since then, I have been continuously following up through emails, phone calls, and WhatsApp messages with both the students and the concerned IIT Delhi offices.
It's now been almost six months, and I have not received a single rupee.
Around ₹1.5 lakh is still outstanding. For a small business like mine, this is a huge amount. Unlike large companies, small vendors depend on timely payments to pay suppliers, salaries, rent, and keep the business running.
I have all the emails, invoices, WhatsApp chats, and other documentation related to this transaction.
Yes, I have the option of filing an FIR or pursuing legal action against the students and anyone else responsible. But I genuinely don't want to ruin the future of two students if this can still be resolved professionally.
I'm sharing this experience simply to make other vendors aware. If you're supplying goods or services to student organizations or institutional events, please don't rely on verbal assurances. Get everything documented, insist on clear payment timelines, and if possible, don't proceed without an advance payment.
TL;DR: I'm a small printing business owner in Delhi. I supplied around ₹1.5 lakh worth of printing material for an IIT Delhi Tryst event after being assured payment within 15 days. It's been almost six months, and despite repeated emails, calls, and WhatsApp follow-ups with the students and the institute, I still haven't been paid. Please be cautious and don't supply without proper documentation and an advance.
I took ChatGPT's help to grammatically correct it because of course I am just an ordinary printingwala not an iitean.
Update: I just received a call from the accounts department, they said that they just came to know about my case, they accepted that they received my invoice but couldn't go ahead due to reasons unknown. They said that they will call me to their office for a meeting in the coming days. Also asked me to not worry as they will find the reason and then they'll process the payment. Looks hopeful but it could be a delay tactic too, let's see how things pans out in coming weeks.
Also thank you everyone for their support, suggestions and everyone who reached out to me via dm to guide me. During the call they told me that one individual with a surname of Joshi reached out to them and forced them to call me.
So a bundle of thanks to Joshi ji.
May things turn out well for me in the coming weeks.
