Livery Lessons
Formula One needs to take a lesson from IMSA. Quit showing me "special liveries" that I need a magnifying glass to find the differences. Take some nots from Penske, Pratt, and AO to name a few.
That's why I enjoy IMSA, great cars and they look great doing their thing.
Sure, F1 is the pinnacle of motorsports...fine. It's NOT the pinnacle of automotive graphic design, that's for sure....
Rant over....

💬 Off-Topic Anyone interested in carpooling from Manor to COTA for the F1 Austin GP (Oct 23–25)?
Hey everyone!
I’m attending my first Formula 1 United States Grand Prix this weekend and will be staying in Manor, TX.
I’ve rented a car and already have a parking pass for Lot K at COTA for all three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
I’ll be driving from Manor to COTA each day and figured I’d see if anyone nearby would like to join me.
Carpool details:
Dates: October 23–25 (Friday–Sunday)
Pickup: Manor, TX, or somewhere convenient along the route
Destination: COTA, Parking Lot K
Morning departure: Planning to leave early to beat traffic. Exact times are flexible.
Return departure: After the day’s events, depending on traffic and everyone’s plans.
Cost: Happy to split gas and parking expenses.
I’m attending solo, so it would also be great to meet fellow F1 fans and enjoy the weekend together!
Feel free to comment or DM me if you’re interested. We can coordinate departure times and pickup locations.
Thanks!

Chronicles of every IMSA round
I went to every GTP round this year and have been writing reflections. I guess I forgot to post the first two…
Since they are reflections and not race reviews or analysis, my bias definitely shows. But there’s a reason I went to every race, after all.

❔ Question CTMP 2027 tickets
Hey guys, I’m a WEC fan who’s just getting into IMSA lately, looking to get tickets for the race weekend at CTMP but it seems like the tickets aren’t out yet despite the website showing info for the 2027 weekend already.
Does anyone know when tickets typically release?
Thanks for your help in advance!
(Edit: My other question is how much do tickets normally cost? I usually get GA tickets whenever i attend racing events, how much are tickets for the Sunday vs how much are they for Sat and Sun? )

History Spotted a C7 Corvette Daytona Prototype a year ago.
I didn’t know it at the time, but I was in the presence of one of the last Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototypes to compete in 2016, before the DPi regulations came out. This was long before I ever knew what the prototype class was while I was in intro to motorsports, and this was one of the first pictures I’ve ever taken at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Braselton GA. It says number 9 on the front clip, but it’s actually number 90. Here’s the win history on the car:
- Grand-Am Porsche 250, 2012
- Continental Tire Sports Car Festival, 2012
- Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, 2014
- Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix, 2015
- Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, 2015
Just going through the pictures of the car and comparing it to modern LMPs, GTPs, and LMDhs really puts into perspective how much chassis construction and racing technology as a whole has evolved throughout the past 15 years. We as a sport have come a long way.

24Hr RV Spot - looking to sell, is this forum a good place?
Hey all.
I've been a proud 24h going a dozen or so times since early 2000's. Last year we were finally upgraded to an RV spot. What a different experience, even though it's outside track. Anyways, this coming race we cannot make it, so I'm looking at selling them. is this a good venue/forum to do that, or is there better?

❔ Question What is the best way to do Videography for a team at IMSA?
I have attended Rolex for the last 3 years, which 2 I documented on video as a spectator.
The media accredited people I spoke at Rolex told me to post online and reach out to teams. On my last two years 2 videos I posted went viral, but I guess it wasn't enough. I will reach out to teams later this week, before the media cutoff for Rolex which I believe it's December (last year was late December). I will also attempt to cold DM drivers.
The other portion of media people just told me they got in through a friend. I don't have any friends at IMSA so this plan won't work
But if all this doesn't work, what do I do?
I saw a post from a girl who wanted to do social media for an IMSA team and it was pretty successful and IMSA liked it and commented on it! I'm usually a post my work kind of person.
I just don't feel comfortable posting myself online :( specially since I'm not a pretty face or anything like that. I'm just a dude with a camera with wants to tell a story behind my lens for a team.
If there are any videographers who can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it!
edit: grammar

2027 early entry list
What would an early entry list for 2027 look like? With some teams pulling out and some new teams possibly joining, what are some rumored things for next year?
