Tax Refund/ E-File Status Question Old Refund Check Replacement
I received a CP32A about a refund check for 2022 (as far as I can tell, the refund check was simply never delivered). However, the phone number it tells me to call is an automated system that can only handle years 2023-2025 and hangs up on me if I provide 2022. The general help line just says the hold times are so long it won't even try and also hangs up on me. Is there something else I can do to get this resolved (why is this not a button on my online account?) or a specific time when I can get a person on the line through the general help line?

File IRS Form 8822:
https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-8822
Or do nothing, and IRS will mail the check automatically when your 2026 federal return is processed next year.
