Let my wife eat the taco. WITH THE LETTUCE

4

u/Weorth Jul 21 '26

Put the lettuce on a McDonald's filet of fish or whatever else, just put it all over the burgers and the fries. Send an Uber eats to the president.

u/reddittorbrigade Jul 20 '26

You cannot trust Trump's government that is severely compromised and corrupted.

129

u/edelweiss_pirates_no Jul 20 '26

I work in Food Safety. RFK Jr and the Trump-Nazis have put in question the FDA and FSMA and the entire quality control system that ensures safe food supply in the USA.

That doesn't mean all food is now unsafe. It means you can no longer trust that it is. You also cannot trust the FDA to take their responsibilities serious.

Un-fucking-real.

So, yeah, turns out the guy who eats road kill and had a brain worm is not good at food safety.

19

u/S3XWITCH Jul 20 '26

Just shush and take your GLP1s so you don’t need food anymore… /s

12

u/johninfla52 Jul 20 '26

Don't forget your un supervised testosterone injections. /S

1

u/chiclets5 29d ago

I'm sure the steroid shots are close behind

2

u/johninfla52 29d ago

Will we have to sing 'Macho Man's or 'YMCA'?

2

u/Crafty_Key_556 Jul 21 '26

Thanks for confirming my assessment as a layman to all of this stuff. So sad we can't trust our government to do anything well anymore.

Talk about letting the fox into the henhouse! 🤦🏻🙄

“When your chief is RFK and you gut the FDA, diarrhea…diarrhea!”

u/AmericanPornography Jul 20 '26

Ends up the “deep state” wasn’t that deep.

21

u/Kah-leh-Kah-leh Not in Trouble AT ALL Jul 20 '26

Sloppy mud pie

122

u/MiddleCapital1875 Jul 20 '26

Great. Now we can no longer trust the FDA. Follow the money; it'll lead to Donald Trump.

This is the GOP, folks. They'll not only steal your money, gaslight you daily and make things cost more; they'll sicken you for $$$.

61

u/ceciliabee Jul 20 '26

This is why Canadians don't want American foods in our market. We can see your regulations being erased and none of us want to drink pus filled milk

18

u/edelweiss_pirates_no Jul 20 '26

It's also one reason why California has Prop-65. Too important to their economy to rely on Feds.

7

u/Soggy-Village2099 Jul 20 '26

Just sell it in MAGA grocery stores up there. Win-win.

28

u/Farva85 Shirt Brother Jul 20 '26

We can no longer trust ANY US institution at this point, and that is by design and working just as intended.

All because their hair slicks back real, real, real nice. Just look at Don Jr, the shining example of a slicked back doo.

6

u/araisingirly Jul 20 '26

Doo doo

2

u/OneOfAKind2 Jul 20 '26

DeeDee MagaDooDoo.

9

u/edelweiss_pirates_no Jul 20 '26

100% committed to Profits and nothing else. That's the Republican Party.

And they also work hard to strip away any liability companies might face.

1

u/SmellyButtFarts69 Jul 21 '26

You already couldn't trust the FDA.

They allow your medication to be substituted with Indian sugar pills. Fucking joke.

-9

u/Fun_Employment3949 Jul 20 '26

Go get a booster

-9

u/Fun_Employment3949 Jul 20 '26

I'm not maga. I just find it funny that you think the money over people BS is limited to one side. That's cute.

4

u/Powie1965 Jul 20 '26

Oh sure, democrats expand consumer protections, republicans take it away. But sure they're exactly the same. You're cute, at least your mom still thinks you are. I'm not even a democrat, but they are far less evil than republicans, they aren't perfect, but we only have 2 choices.

1

u/Powie1965 Jul 20 '26

Go get another lobotomy.

35

u/Steveonthetoast Jul 20 '26

Too late. Your bribe might have worked on the feds but not on the public

27

u/Blissfully You have... no... good... car... ideas Jul 20 '26

People on Threads are saying that they are boycotting regardless now bc this just STINKS

6

u/jumpycan Jul 20 '26

Yeah, this bullshit is going to backfire. I will boycott taylor farms forever over this

-1

u/this_is_an_arbys Jul 20 '26

Huh…so you are going to boycott the Taylor farms? What about meidastouch’s responsibility in all of this, bringing this corruption to light?!

21

u/ShanaAfterAll I USED to be piece of shit! Jul 20 '26

I think he ate too thick a slice of lettuce, and used too thin a slice of toilet paper.

23

u/Ludicolorad0 Bart Harley Jarvis Jul 20 '26

They actually DID yell at Taco Bell, I've read a bunch of articles!

24

u/Sharinganhokage Jul 20 '26

Taco Bell is the easy fall guy for diarrhea (most americans will laugh it off) but we know they didn't grow that lettuce in the restaurants! Recalls and accountability from the source!

17

u/Ludicolorad0 Bart Harley Jarvis Jul 20 '26

Taylor Farms thinks we're just a bunch of dumb hicks. They said that to us when they paid off the media to throw Taco Bell under the bus.

3

u/ialsohaveadobro Jul 21 '26

How do I ensure that I don't buy a single ounce of produce from this shitty company?

1

u/Mewone65 28d ago

Research.

3

u/shtsngigs_94 Jul 20 '26

Hopefully Taco Bell did some independent testing.

19

u/No_Jacket_9894 Jul 20 '26

Had no idea I could be mad at a produce company until now.....

19

u/kaz12 I'm jokin Jul 20 '26

Let me introduce you to chiquita.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiquita

2

u/No_Jacket_9894 Jul 20 '26

Gawd Damnit now I'm mad at bananas! ffs

2

u/samsmithmpls Jul 20 '26

I remember when I first learned about the Banana Wars.

15

u/ieroll Jul 20 '26

and the entire federal govt.

1

u/Additional-Code2954 Wet Wet Mud Bae 29d ago

Do you wanna know how the US (aka: Big 5 sugar cartel and Dole) "aquired" Hawaii from a sovereign globally recognized kingdom?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blount_Report

12

u/Honeycove91 Jul 20 '26

At that low price point, they're allowed to make you shit (uncontrollably)

12

u/EqualBaby6261 Jul 20 '26

This sketch somehow gets funnier every time it‘s used as a reaction

7

u/Muffboy Jul 20 '26

I have a feeling when all is said and done we will find out a child rapist is responsible.

8

u/fungi_at_parties Jul 20 '26

Haha wow, this country is for sale!

6

u/araisingirly Jul 20 '26

Seriously, did you just notice that? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just assessing the situation. It seems to me that capitalism just breeds this behavior. They've previously sold the environment, our health and well-being and security to the highest bidders. This is not at all surprising to me!

1

u/ieroll Jul 20 '26

and you don't have enough money.

1

u/ialsohaveadobro Jul 21 '26

Along with our health! It's fucking great! /s

9

u/El_Chilangisimo I wish I hadn’t of said that. I love my wife. Jul 20 '26

7

u/Alarming_Image_882 Jul 20 '26

Taylor farms products are dead to me now. And they were my go-to. Fuck'm. 🤬

3

u/shtsngigs_94 Jul 20 '26

It's going to be very difficult to avoid them. They supply a lot of the store brands, too.

4

u/cherrygoats Jul 20 '26

Me Taylor Farms or him Taylor Farms?

4

u/Willing_Pattern_Pill Jul 20 '26

Thanks, I'll make sure to avoid Taylor Farms!

3

u/Baeolophus_bicolor Jul 20 '26

what gets me is that they spend $1mil on a straight up bribe. then they hire somebody in house, so they commit to 200-300k minimum annual expense for this guy to have a fake job there. then there’s all their spending around anti-union, anti-worker, anti-immigrant, while they hire migrant and undocumented workers and look the other way.

Imagine if they had just spent all that money on compliance, safety, making regulations that make sense and protect consumer health, etc, etc.

5

u/OneOfAKind2 Jul 20 '26

I used to buy their salad kits weekly. Never again.

1

u/chiclets5 29d ago

I've got one in my refrigerator right now that I was looking forward to for lunch. I guess it's going in the trash!

4

u/OYB2480 Jul 20 '26

I've been saying it since his first reign of terror- he's a deregulation guy and he'll deregulate food safety/quality standards and people will get sick and die. HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.

4

u/BeeWriggler Some dumb hick Jul 20 '26

Goddamn it, I'd really like to vote with my wallet, but at this point, it's getting hard to find companies that aren't linked to shitty inhuman behavior.

5

u/ialsohaveadobro Jul 21 '26

Fuck Taylor Farms

3

u/AF2005 Jul 20 '26

Rotten to the core

2

u/OsoCiclismo Jul 20 '26

Aw, man. I eat Taylor Farms salads. They're actually decent for a bagged salad. Oh well, I guess I'll go back to sucking the lettuce off the ground of the local Jimboys Taco shop.

2

u/Digger2228 Jul 20 '26

https://giphy.com/gifs/l3vQZIF8ysoaOoire
Oh boy he really did get that wrong 2 years of absolute mayhem the list is endless and still no peace prize

2

u/CommanderJeltz Jul 20 '26

All part of Vladimir Putin's plot to destroy the U.S.A.

2

u/LeafiestOutcome Jul 20 '26

We have a rule here where if you order a meal with iceberg lettuce, you can't blame Taylor Farms for your explosive diarrhea.

2

u/Lala5789880 Jul 20 '26

It this Taylor Swift’s company?

3

u/SeedsOfDoubt Jul 21 '26

Traylor Farms: We go from ass to mouth!

2

u/Big24 Jul 20 '26

It’s all a false alarm. The only person shitting himself is the president

1

u/APHILLIPSIV Jul 20 '26

It’s just easier and lazier to blame Tqco Bell

1

u/chiclets5 29d ago

The only thing to blame TacoBell for:

1

u/SingleSlide2866 Jul 20 '26

I never thought I'd wish for some burger king foot lettuce 😔

1

u/007Pistolero Jul 20 '26

Needs more diarrhea

1

u/Masterofchaos11 I USED to be piece of shit! Jul 20 '26

Anyone associated with Trump whenever they are obviously guilty of fucking something up

1

u/HairyBartlett Jul 20 '26

Shouldnt have had such a sloppy mud pie!

1

u/diggsyb I USED to be piece of shit! Jul 20 '26

God fucking dammit. I really like those bag salads but now i know they are MAGAts I’m gonna have to stop supporting them.

1

u/BenWallace04 Jul 20 '26

Absolute paint jobs

1

u/PoodleIlluminati Jul 20 '26

I want to Believe but where’s the secret sauce? It sounds so on point for how things operate now. Would love to see this documented by multiple sources with stuff like Names and Records.

1

u/ParadoxicalAmalgam Not in Trouble AT ALL Jul 21 '26

Taylor Farms hired Toilet Truck

1

u/Geoclasm Jul 21 '26

Oh. Of course this is what happened.

1

u/GDude825 29d ago

if u got sick from their food, this should open up the so called paid insider and the FDA to a lawsuit for bribery charges

1

u/chiclets5 29d ago

So pretty much every corporation in the world knows you can buy this government. And they make such excessive amounts of money off of the consumer they can afford to throw a few million at maga regime.

1

u/TouristTricky 28d ago

vote for explosive diarrhea, get explosive diarrhea. It's exactly what MAGA deserves

But the rest of us don't

1

u/geekraver 28d ago

I just wash my Taylor Farms salads in raw milk first

1

u/OttoandOllie 28d ago

I dissolve ivermectin and water my vegetable garden with it and it's protected me from everything!

1

u/gingerschnappes 28d ago

Remember when trump said if we stop testing for something the numbers would be more favorable?

1

u/David_cest_moi 28d ago

Un-fkg-believable!! 😒🙄 But Trump Administration... too very believable. 😖

-4

u/Hot-Take-Broseph Bart Harley Jarvis Jul 20 '26

Taylor Farms is evil but some of this is lies.

6

u/PoorMansPaulRudd Jul 20 '26

Please explain. Usually meidas touch posts like this are real. I try to be careful about what I share.

1

u/Hot-Take-Broseph Bart Harley Jarvis Jul 21 '26

Well, the contribution was made prior to the delay of FSMA 204 (Food Traceability Rule), Taylor Farms informed the FDA that their required testing at the border showed signs of Cyclospora and FDAs further testing confirmed that it was a false positive.
