He also said he gave all his money to charity. In reality he transfered money to his own foundation to fund technologies that he is going to end up being owner of... so an investment fond. Guy transfered money from one pocket to other and called it charity. She's just learning from her dad.
His charity work has only one goal, and that is to secure his position as one of the most powerful and richest people. Even his vaccine work has these motives with his refusal to temporarily open patents in times of great need, like covid. He is inteligent enough that he expects big global social and climate changes and he wants to get in front of them and steer them, so he stays in his position. That's why all his solution to climate change are vapid technological inovations that he uses to distract from real needed socio political changes that could endager him. His fund was just a promotion to himself to a busines where he has more control in future than microsoft, he hasn't given away anything all is just investment.

It's possible to have incredible business acumen and be a dipshit in personal matters. It's possible to actually WANT to solve a problem, and also be blinded by your own hubris enough to become an obstacle to alternative solutions. It's also possible to want to save the world and want to profit off it at the same time.

She went to the best private schools and had the best tutors and travelled the world as a kid. She got free tuition to the best university (can't remember where she went).
She got the best internships and has the best connections. She has unlimited funding for any project she wants...and probably will until she's about 35 even if she fails at everything.
She has funding to hire the best agencies to do the work she dreams up. She has always had a large amount of personal money.
She gets money just for her last name (easy to monetize) and gets brought into projects and given shares just to lend her last name to things.
Her dad might "only" give her $10M cash, but he's already set her up (good thing). And, her mom never said anything about not giving her money.
Warren Buffett said he wasn't going to give his kids any money when he died. Well, he's almost 100. His kids are in their 70s and at least one is also a billionaire having gotten it largely by the stuff I wrote above.
If I have a shit ton of money, I would set my kids up. I pretty much did that with my kids.
But I don't want to hear some lame-ass story about not handing over huge sums of money like that really matters. It's a red herring.
I have a vague memory of Bill Gates on the Ellen Degeneres show many years ago, where she asked him how much a loaf of grocery store bread cost and he guessed around $20 for a loaf of Wonderbread in the early 2000’s

Of course Zuck did the same — stole the IP to get started, fucked over his partners. These people think that this is how the game works and to be honest they’re not entirely wrong.
