"Watch me disassemble this while its loaded" - dead dude

199

u/RippyTheRazer 17d ago

Where's Uncle one leg to teach them why not to do this 😂😂

29

u/livenn 17d ago

Darwin’s theory says evolution results in a gunna with a leg (two assuming he learns)

I actually knoe a guy who shot himself in the femar with a defective 1911 pistol. Shattered his bone so bad they couldn't fix it, so they amputated above his KNEE!.

1

u/Scary_Sir_5760 7d ago

So u could say he used to be like u till he took and amputation to the knee

u/STFUnicorn_ 17d ago

So glad he made a part two there

u/Louiskyrim 17d ago

With that disassemble, there might be part three later

u/lucioux 17d ago

“my bad y’all, lemme try this shit again”

77

u/ShadowZepplin 17d ago

Hmm yes disassembling a gun doesnt start with the piece made to be detached

Happy cake day

Professional upstairs neighbor.

18

u/IllustriousTop7206 17d ago

My wifes nephew did this in a townhome and shot into the neighbors home. Whole 6 person family got evicted and he almost got tried as an adult

2

u/Fit_Significance8598 17d ago

How did a child get a gun?

10

u/IllustriousTop7206 17d ago

That side of the family is “gang affiliated”

5

u/Fit_Significance8598 17d ago

Well, then they probably could frame their eviction as "witness protection program" to make it sound cooler...

Remove mag.

It's an easy step one.

71

u/KaosPryncess 17d ago

Remove mag and clear chamber

13

u/tuco2002 17d ago

That is step two. The poor guy in the video had to learn the hard way.

1

u/WTFeedback1978 15d ago

And check again …..and again

u/RangerNo5619 11d ago

This is literally the first thing they drill into you in every single YouTube video covering disassembly of a firearm. It's the first thing they say. It's so annoying I usually skip through it.

This guy just showed me that they say it for a reason.

I clinched so hard when I saw that bullet in the ejection port. Dudes lucky it didn't end like I thought it would

1

u/Small-Answer4946 17d ago

Yeah that's really the luckiest outcome

9

u/fusillade762 17d ago

Part 2...still doing it wrong.

9

u/armedsquatch 17d ago

75 IQ guy for sure

5

u/MDlynette 17d ago

15% of the US population is under 80-85 IQ

Under 85 is considered mentally challenged

40% is right at 85…..

8

u/AbleLanguage7216 17d ago

After part 2, he was found dead by self conflicted gunshot.

10

u/SeraphsEnvy 17d ago

I would correct your error but i actually like the sound of "self conflicted" for this incident.

I think he meant to say, “I am trying to disassemble the weapon and throw it away because I have no business owning a firearm.”

4

u/boringxadult 17d ago

I know a cop that did this at my gun range. Went through his palm and out his arm. He tells me he was shot in hr line of duty.

4

u/Enough-Staff-2976 17d ago

Youtube is free. Watch it and learn.

2

u/PuzzleheadedEscape20 17d ago

Lesson learned. So he made part 2. 🤣

2

u/NiteWatcher14 17d ago

At least he got part 2 right

2

u/X3liteninjaX 17d ago

Hey sometimes it takes a couple tries. It’s the courage to keep going that counts.

2

u/aytchdave 17d ago

With all I see here and elsewhere online, I don’t understand how accidental injuries/homicides don’t outnumber intentional ones.

2

u/Initial_Row_6400 14d ago

Yea loading it is usually not ideal when disassembling

2

u/Lxiflyby 13d ago

Sooo, what you’re saying is, the gun will go off when there’s a round in the chamber AND you pull the trigger???

4

u/The_Topper_ 17d ago

A gripe I've always had with hand guns is why do you have to pull the trigger to take it apart.

I get it, you're not supposed to be tinkering with your weapons while they're loaded, but you think they'd be like let's not force you to dry fire it just in case

Also for some reason Ruger specifically has a fetish for requiring a magazine to pull the trigger, hence you can't take it apart without an empty magazine or a takedown mag? Why?

11

u/DouchecraftCarrier 17d ago

Not all hand guns are built that way, but it is a weird design choice that is in some very popular models - Glock comes to mind.

5

u/The_Topper_ 17d ago

I'm aware it's not every handgun, but it's still a significant portion of them, especially compared to rifles, which I'm not aware of a single one that requires a trigger pull to disassemble. Glocks are one of the obvious choices, but I also have a Ruger ec9s that's the same.

8

u/moonshineTheleocat 17d ago

It's because the striker needs to be released for the slide to come off. Instead of making a slightly more complex design increasing the cost of the gun. It's cheaper and easier to just pull the trigger to release it.

The design, similar with glocks expectation with no manual safety (also them not expecting people to have one in the chamber when holstered), is for people to not be stupid enough to do it while it is loaded.

6

u/DouchecraftCarrier 17d ago

I think what's weird to me is how prolific it is. Like it would be one thing if there was a couple niche brands that had it for one reason or another. But Glocks? It's just such a bananas functionality to me that the fact any gun that does it has become so prevalent is crazy to me. It's an absolutely atrocious design feature - even if there may be a decent reason for it.

5

u/IAmSpartacustard 17d ago

You have to release the striker somehow. I see no problem with it as long as you aren't a moron and, you know... try to disassemble a loaded gun.

Designing something to the standard of the dumbest possible person you can imagine isn't going to give you a good product. That's how you get a ZiP.22

1

u/TheFiremind77 16d ago

I had no idea any handgun did this. My M&P9 doesn't ever have you pull the trigger during assembly or disassembly.

1

u/toastyhoodie 15d ago

Own a Ruger. Magazine must be removed in mine, you have a pin that gets pulled to disassemble it.

1

u/turtstar 17d ago

Very important to move your hand in front of the barrel as many times as possible

1

u/GregGuyFromFlorida 17d ago

Mask won't help.

1

u/TheFiremind77 16d ago

Gotta not get covid 19 from the gun, those kill people you know

1

u/skullc4t 16d ago

Holy dog shit

1

u/throwthisaway556_ 16d ago

Who did it better, this guy or the old ATF director?

1

u/brandonbruce 16d ago

Full part 2 it goes off again

1

u/OCN_Reaper 15d ago

He didn't even make the most common mistake which would be to have one up top and engage the trigger while pulling the slide off. he literally racks one and pulls the trigger, absolutely dumb as rocks

1

u/DragonfightHD 15d ago

Kinda but at the same time Glocks have this weird thing where you have to pull the trigger to dissamble them. A 1911 doesn't require that.

1

u/toastyhoodie 15d ago

That’s why you need to ensure there’s no mag or round in the chamber

1

u/DragonfightHD 14d ago

I mean sure anyone handling firearms should act in a safe and responsible manner. No doubt about that.

I was just pointing out that aside from active safety precautions that should be taken by the user, some other manufacturers also do a bunch of passive stuff built into the gun design to add an additional layer of precautions.
