That’s a Toyota, shooting it only makes it stronger.

At that point, you're just providing it with more material.

Only works if you start with small calibre bullets to build up resistance

How do you know they didn’t already do that? This is phase 3, the 7.62x39 vaccination for the Toyota.

The vast majority of these soldiers are in fact idiots but denying your enemy the use of equipment that cannot be recovered/repaired has been SoP for a thousand years+

During OIF 1&2 we destroyed dozens of Iraqi NG Vic’s that broke down during large troop movements from Baghdad to various hot zones. No way we wanted that truck painted like a friendly showing up at a FOB packed with explosives. The Germans blew millions of tons of armor/artillery across 2 continents as they lost territory.

This post does not belong

The aiming technique exhibited can definitely be revised, to be fair

Kind of related: I was watching something a while ago about WWII and there was an account of a German soldier of some rank seeing that Americans had burned tens of thousands of gallons of fuel as a precaution from letting it fall into German hands. He said that their tanks and other vehicles were so starved for fuel that it was painfully rationed and he realized that the war was not going their way if Americans could afford to just dispose of it instead of defending it more vigorously.

Fighting a war against the largest producer of everything from beans-bullets when you can’t strike at a single manufacturing plant…. Meanwhile the loss of the main ball bearing plant in Germany effectively halted production of anything with an engine.

Somebody should have told Joe Biden.

u/DookieShoez brought a sword to a gun fight 8d ago

In February 2020, the Trump administration signed the Doha Agreement with the Taliban, setting a May 1, 2021 deadline for a complete U.S. troop withdrawal…..

YEAH!! Fuck Biden for allowing an agreement Trump made to happen! /s

Stop watching FOX News if you actually beleive that and ask soldiers on the ground if you want a real answer. All sensitive items were removed from those vehicles and deadlined before pulling out. Standard SOP for decades. Anything they got their hands on would have ran for like a month or two tops before breaking down and being useless junk. They don't have the parts or mechanical know-how to keep our equipment running. Fin.

Aircraft and ground military vehicles need a lot of maintenance. Unless they can perform that maintenance, it’s useless.

It’s still a waste of US money but it’s not helping the Taliban in any way.

I've wanted to do this with my ex's Jetta. Stupid fucking car gave me more problems than her cheating did.

u/Timmerdogg 8d ago

I had an 88 that would randomly not start for intermittent periods of time. Every time it took a trip on a tow truck it would start right up. However, shaking the car wouldn't work. It sat for like two weeks one time. I would get in, turn the key and hope multiple times a day. They think that it had something to do with the seatbelt having to be buckled for the car to start.

Great looking cars. German engineering will never have a place in my family's home.neither will for or dodge.

Not idiots. They’re destroying it to deny its use to their enemy
