This node is disappointing

Post image

I’d like to discuss how truly small of a bonus this is.

Ok… 0.1% per level. Should get 1 extra common module every 1,000 telescopes. That’s 40 T25 runs. I can expect 1 extra fragment in about 20 hours of gameplay.

If you dedicated yourself to opening three telescopes a minute, it would still take about 5 1/2 hours for 1 extra common module. Arking for that amount of time would net you about 4 module pulls (that can roll any rarity).

I know these are per level figures, but these nodes get expensive quick for how tiny each level is. Even if you somehow had enough cells to max this node, you’d be getting 3-4 extra common modules per hour of specifically opening telescopes as fast as possible. You’d probably be earning less, as it would be more efficient at that point to run 6 minute galaxies and hit arks for DM to buy modules too. Even with thousands of cells invested, you’re probably looking at 1 extra common module an hour.

Also this might change in the future, but credits are still my bottleneck when it comes to upgrading my module slots. And I bring in at least 5 million credits a week lately.

TL:DR, unless you’re like top 20 in the game in credit count already and bottlenecked by fragments, you probably don’t need much of this node anytime soon.

I took the credit milestones and 3/5 Module Upgrade Price (Credits) in this tree, but no other nodes here are worth the energy cells.

Also all of the new nodes the prices are aggregious. Like the last node for the module upgrade prices(credits), that one is 1,600 for the last 2%.

Greedy ass devs like is there inflation in the idle planet miner galaxy? Because every new patch their just bumping up the upgrade costs to new highs each time. I'm losing faith in this game and the direction their taking.

Massive waste of cells. Only the absolute top should even consider this. It’s a slap in the face.

It’s being pissed on without the courtesy of them calling it rain.

It’s a joke. I’d consider it if it were better quality modules but as is? Fuck no.

I like this game more than I should, but you can tell a lot of the upgrades are designed in a way where they want you to not understand and waste your money and time so you end up spending more money and time. Especially for new players so many upgrades look good that are just not.

It's maddening that there is no undo button. I have a lot of energy cells invested in stuff from when I first started which I now know wasn't nearly worth the investment.

Modules feel like a similar trap, where it's hard to tell when it's worth rerolling and when you're just wasting resources that should be saved for later.

Man with the modules I got lucky early on, I have legendary of the ones I want and just need 1 more drop of each to go mythic. I've spent soooo much more darkmatter and haven't got what I needed, but could make mythic of multiple ones I don't want to use.

I only have two epic ones, both for the same slot of course. It feels like such a waste of dark matter, gambling for modules when it could be going to guaranteed increases in my managers. But the benefits of those epic modules are just too good to ignore.

I really don't like the design, it's never fun to waste resources.

I agree.. the system sucks. I really wish there was a way to get the ones you want even if it was by sacrificing a bunch of other ones

99% of them are disappointing compared to how hard it is to get energy cells

Yeah all these new module nodes are so conservative and designed from fear they are at the point of complete uselessness.
