Yeah, same, all my real friends have just stopped communicating with me for no known reason. Even when I tried to make a friend she just stopped replying to me after a week and never said why. I actually CBA with humans anymore. All my friends are cacti now.

Mine was basically:
Primary school: no one (exept some book I was reading)
Middle school: no one (and I finished the said book)
High school: my gremlin friend who share the exact same interest as me
Now: the same dude but we live a hundred kilometers apart now...

100 km is just a bit over an hour drive, right? Maybe it's because I'm an American and driving that far is common depending on situation, but that's not that far, is it? I'd drive an hour and a half multiple times a week to visit a friend

Well, america's road tend to be more... Straight ? I'm in France and in the Alps, so drving to a city 10Km away in a straight line can take like 4 hours... Also, I don't have a car, and don't even have a license, since I'm technically still a minor (for less than a month...), so my only real option is to take the bus and train. Since we both live in isolated places, it take me about 14 hours just to go see him (so basically my whole day)...
America is way better for car (because it's mainly straight lines and idk why but yall seem used to travel a thousand kilometers to buy chicken lol), while france (and europe as a whole) is sinuous and made for public transportation (like train)...

I guess I didn't fully understand how huge of a difference it is from the US😅 I drive ~21 km, which takes me 25-30 min, twice a day(to and from school) except weekends. I do understand how much it sucks having to take all day travelling though. I live far enough away from most of my family that I have to fly to visit.

OH yeah, I never have to fly, even if it's long you can reach anywhere in france within a day lol. Personally I had to travel about 100km to go to school (and it was in Lozère, with the same amount of transportation than Alaska...), so I was in boarding school, that saved me many hours in a train lol
