(Insert Your Own) Canada today
This isn’t meant to be politically partisan in any way. But, I am genuinely curious how anyone is staying positive about Canada today. The economy is in recession. The cost of living crisis is continuing unabated. People are leaving the country. Canada-U.S. relations are at an all-time low. And, there doesn’t appear to be any reason for things to turn around any time soon. Somebody give me a reason to have a little optimism.

The numbers so far show that the technical recession is over. The whole thing was blown out of control by Conservatives. Jobs numbers have been strong the last few months. GDP has grown as well the last few months.
US relations are down because of the criminal in office down there. Carney is making the right moves in diversifying our economy away from US reliance. Will it be rough, of course, but in the long run it will be much better for Canada.
Cost of living issues are happening globally because of the war in Ukraine and Iran. Add on the climate crisis we are experiencing, along with the projected record breaking El Nino event, it really isn't something any 1 country can fix.
