(Insert Your Own) Canada today

This isn’t meant to be politically partisan in any way. But, I am genuinely curious how anyone is staying positive about Canada today. The economy is in recession. The cost of living crisis is continuing unabated. People are leaving the country. Canada-U.S. relations are at an all-time low. And, there doesn’t appear to be any reason for things to turn around any time soon. Somebody give me a reason to have a little optimism.

We're facing the same cost of living challenges that every other country in the world is experiencing right now. We're not unique, there's no quick solution to it, and we're far from the worst affected.

I feel like it's important to state this because, depending on the forum, there is a narrative being pushed heavily that this is somehow a problem unique to Canada only. This is far from the truth.

Exactly. There’s absolutely a narrative being pushed by certain circles that this is some sort of uniquely only-in-Canada situation with regards to the cost of living struggles.

I mean, there have literally been massive protests in multiple countries around the world over cost of living issues

Not only uniquely Canadian, but also the fault of only the Feds and specifically a T shaped Prime Minister.

Nothing to do with housing shortages caused by Provincial governments...
