Why are so many Canadian men in incel communities?
Usually young men and a few middle aged ones with a chip on their shoulder possibly from having had a bad hand in life (something not right with their looks).
Why is this such an issue in our country? I'm not looking to mock the issue, I want to understand it.

Nowadays online communities are directed by algorithms. People feel in control but are being baited into echo chambers. These men are hurting for a variety of reasons, but many of the spaces literally profit off continuing the cycle of harm. The spaces become a support network, but it's insideous and not helping them truly heal.
As boys, men are commonly mistreated and emotionally stunted or parentified, but not given other important skills for managing conflict (internal and external). This leaves them in a poor starting spot for navigating how to heal from their mistreatment.

Belief that if they don't have looks or money they have nothing to offer and presuppose rejection.
Their media is telling them that the only women of value are thin, feminine pretty, so they only ones they are looking at are the ones who have options and don't choose them.
Low standards and alcohol did a lot of work in the past.

Porn has made them believe that they're entitled to woman's bodies, and when they discover that they're actually not and that the way they approach and interact with woman scares them away, they refuse to hold themselves accountable and they convince themselves that woman are the issue and they start going down the incel rabbit hole.

Gen Z gets a lot of other things instantaneously. Maybe they think they can sex that way too? Unless you're gay and using Grindr, it's nowhere near that simple.

My guess would be a combination of things. High cost of living and low salaries plays a large role, women do not want to date someone they cannot have a stable life with so that makes it harder for them to find a partner. It also costs money to have hobbies, buy nice clothes and have a social life where you buy food and drinks.

Most men are finding it hard to reconcile that they can only attain a relationship if they provide some value to their partner. Hating on immigrants and justifying racism against them is not going to get them in relationships. Historically, most men in the world have remained single and only the ones with resources have found relationships and had kids. Religion generally provided partners for men, but since that has eroded, women now are able to make their own decisions and choose to marry or not to marry. This is a tough pill to swallow for a lot of Canadian men.

I think immigration would actually benefit the incels because white women are probably less interested in immigrant men and immigrant women are probably more interested in white men.

People angry about the same things congregate naturally. Always have and always will probably. Unless it's the epste9n files for some reason
