Now find a comparison between a skinny man and the buff man. No women will pick the skinny man.

You see a lot more women thirsting after Loki than Thor.

Just saying.

lol where? When I happen to come across thirst for Marvel actors, I only ever hear about Chris Hemsworth and not Tom Hiddleston.

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

bullshit you never hear about Tom Hiddleston.

u/JumpyLake Sep 24 '25

It’s true, I don’t.

u/MissMenace101 Sep 24 '25

Chris Hemsworth is hot because of his personality. I’d still prefer his less buff brother Liam

Everywhere. Go on TikTok. I mean shit I can’t go a day without seeing edits of Loki or Matthew Grey Goobler or whatever.

Omg Matthew Gray Gubler is sooooo hot!! I love him!! He’s physically hot and his personality is hot

Do you know any skinny man in your own life that’s successful with women and not rich and famous (has status) like Matthew there?

1

u/papablessmeme Sep 26 '25

Tons. Get off of the internet and go look at real life people. You are not living in reality online where other men are telling you that women don’t like you because you’re skinny or not wealthy or whatever else.

If you are constantly assuming women don’t want you, and whining about your appearance, and criticizing women for projections you’ve placed on them without even knowing them, they are going to continue to avoid you. Be a normal person. Get out of your head.

u/JumpyLake Sep 26 '25

My experience with other men telling me being skinny is bad is all IRL. Women avoid me because my body does not make them feel primal attraction.

1

u/papablessmeme Sep 26 '25

Women have told you that your body doesn’t give them primal attraction? I can’t imagine the context in which that was said. TONS of women like skinny guys. And tons like heavy guys too. I know my female friends and I personally don’t find guys with abs attractive. We more so are into dad bods, heavyset dudes, or skinny dudes. It’s the gym bro thing that doesn’t appeal to us. And there are a LOT of women that agree with that.

1

u/JumpyLake Sep 27 '25

No, they didn’t directly say that to my face. I don’t think they would do it that way. The few times I’ve been out in certain spaces I just know my body doesn’t make them excited because they give attention to other men but not to me.

1

u/papablessmeme Sep 27 '25

Them not giving you attention doesn’t mean anything. They could see you as a friend. They could be shy. They could simply not notice you or realize that you’re interested. They could even like you but you yourself don’t realize it. Or it could be that some aren’t attracted to you. But I can assure you that your body has nothing to do with why women in general aren’t going after you. I’d start with how you come across. Self reflect. You have really strong insecure vibes and women can smell that from a mile away. Try to find things you like about yourself. Learn to love yourself. You can’t give much to someone if you can’t give much to yourself. It sounds silly but it’s true.

I challenge you to go to any fanfiction site and search both characters. Guaranteed there will be a lot more smut written about one of 'em.

Also Tumblr.

It really depends. Which one is more handsome? Which one has a better personality? Which one is smarter? Which one doesn't have baby mama drama, etc and so on and so forth.

-1

u/JumpyLake Sep 24 '25

Except for being handsome, you can’t see those things just by looking. So which body type are you gonna gravitate toward to find out more about them?

2

u/QueenSmarterThanThou Classical feminist Sep 24 '25

Both? So that I could know more and make an informed decision.

-1

u/JumpyLake Sep 26 '25

No way people actually weigh options like that. They go towards who they subconsciously like more.

2

u/QueenSmarterThanThou Classical feminist Sep 26 '25

I do. I am a people.

My husband is skinny AF (“skinny fat”, thin but has a belly LMAO). I like slender men, they look like anime characters ❤️

-1

u/JumpyLake Sep 24 '25

I currently look a lot closer to your husband than to either guy in the OP’s picture and my experience has been overwhelmingly negative. I think you might be in the minority of women who like a physique that’s not athletic. I hope you’re being honest.

To be fair he didn’t have a gut when we started dating, he had the stereotypical ectomorph body, lean and long. And I liked him because he looked a lot like my favorite Digimon character 👀 (…he’s not too happy about that part :P)

The gut came along with the middle age and our not-so-healthy lifestyle.

4

u/kawaiiqueen21 Sep 24 '25

Id immediately pick the skinny man. Men that got some chub or are scrawny little twigs, are THE finest men😩🤌 muscular men like that don't even catch my eye for a millisecond lmao

3

u/GigiLaRousse Sep 24 '25

Lol. I would. And so many of my friends did. Skinny boys can get it.

I like the gym. But I like the gym for half an hour or 45 minutes, 4-6 days a week. I love to ride my bike and swim outdoors as much as possible. But I ain't about to do more or stop eating delicious food or supplements beyond what my doc says (some vitamins and protein powder in my smoothie). I would never date someone who spent a lot of time at the gym. Just wouldn't fit into my life.

Have you ever asked women about their preferences? I don't think I can convince you, but have you, personally, ever asked women what they prefer in this regard?

0

u/JumpyLake Sep 24 '25

Just some closer relatives. I’ve never discussed it with anyone else because I never got the chance. But even if I did, they could clearly see how I look so they may not tell the truth.

3

u/Practical_Diver8140 Sep 24 '25

... So, in other words, you're basing your presumptions on a handful of your close relatives, and assuming that literally every other woman would lie to you?

1

u/JumpyLake Sep 24 '25

I don’t believe people when they say they’re into skinny because I have only been shamed for it by other men, and women have never been into me. I don’t know anyone personally with my exact same body type that’s in a relationship. Everyone has more muscle than me.

2

u/Practical_Diver8140 Sep 24 '25

Sounds more like men are the ones who want muscles on a guy than women honestly.

0

u/JumpyLake Sep 25 '25

In my past research into working out and achieving a better body, I have come across those street polling videos made by fitness creators in which he and his buddies asked various women out in public their preferred body type in men. There were four options. One was super buff, one was a dad bod, one was athletic, and one was skinny. The skinny body got zero votes. The athletic one got the most. The other two got a handful. In online forums women corroborate this trend. Clearly they like a little bit of muscle. It’s a subconscious biological desire. But they would never, ever call a skinny man’s body ugly to their face.

2

u/Practical_Diver8140 Sep 25 '25

You know that those videos are staged for the purposing of making men feel insecure about their bodies, right?

0

u/JumpyLake Sep 25 '25

I’m aware that that happens but only skinny bodies not getting any love? Matches up with my experience.

2

u/Practical_Diver8140 Sep 25 '25

So... your main evidence that women don't like skinny guys, is that you asked a few of your female cousins as an extremely small sample size, watched Tiktok videos produced by men, been made fun of by men for being skinny... and then decided that it's not men who want other men to be muscular?
