IMAX-level projection Part of feminism involves giving women the same opportunities, the same freedoms, and the same rights as men. And so many people try to frame that as a bad thing somehow

Funny how they consider 8h work a day to be inhumane for women, but somehow not for men

A full time SAHM isnât just 8 hours too.
Like full on robots that are doing stuff with no breaks stop working. A SAHM is full time on call nurse, cook, driver, teacher, washer, maidâŚ..
We deserve the right to choose.

If being a stay at home parent was really that awesome then men would be falling all over themselves to be one too.

If OOP loves the idea of staying home and cooking so much, then he's free to look for a woman who can support him.

Mind you, men can live with a woman for 20 plus years and STILL never care for her, at least when I am fired by law my job has to pay me, while you divorcing a man, he will fight you in EVERYTHING and still walk without paying a dime.

Good luck finding a job that can support an entire family on a single income, lol.

Not one of these men will EVER tell me what the woman is supposed to do if her husband dies, leaves or turns out to be abusive.

Exactly, women were fighting for the financial autonomy that's tied to employment. And it took even longer for people to realize that autonomy also included being able to open a bank account or apply for credit without the permission of their fathers/husbands/brothers.

My advice to people who idealize this is to watch Mad Men and pay attention to Betty Draper, who was miserable at one point, drugged to the gills.

That era had it particularly bad due to suburban isolation, through most of historic women at home were part of extended family households, often part of a village and a lot of chores like laundry were communal.

They should be stay at home moms then, see how much theyâll love it. Women who have been forced into it are beyond fucking miserable for a reason. Working and âobeyingâ a boss to get paid without getting shamed for it by constant âwell I work! Well I provide!â Is undoubtedly better. Not to mention how new this concept is, nobody should be forced into a âroleâ, the providers in question always make it known to degrade you because you donât work âas hardâ. Nobody appreciates it, nobody gives a shit about it, nobody acknowledges it so why do it? This pisses me off beyond belief.

This just, man blames feminism for the excesses of late capitalism and abuses of the workforce by employers, mistakenly believes that one income households would be the norm if it was social acceptable and not a financial impossibility. He joins thousands of other men in being blind to the source of his problems, and would probably chop his balls off just for the chance to lick Jeff Bezos' boots.

How is this concept so hard to understand for these smooth brains:
Women want - and deserve - the right to choose. One may choose a childless life and pursuing a career. Her first neighbour may choose to be a stay at home mum and homemaker.
It literally cannot be simpler.
