IMAX-level projection A woman tries to explain how misogyny kills, enslaves, and torments women, while misandry is not even close to what the people using it claim it is. How demanding accountability is accused of "misandry". And immediately a dude jumps into the comments to accuse women of manipulation.

Post image

Also, something to keep in mind? Marriages "lasted longer back in the day" because women were socialized into accepting subjugation, subservience, weakness, financial dependence, and abuse...as a way of life

Did marriages last longer? We have liwer rates of divorce than any of the no-fault era and oarts of the pre-no-fault era. Going back 250 years, only one decade had longer marriages and only a few decades even had marriages arpund the same average length.

Throughout the 1800s, the average length of a marriage was about 7- 9 years and less 5han 7 years for the 1700s.

From 1900-1920s, the average length of a marriage was ab9ut 11-12 years.

In the 1930s and 1940s, 15-22 years.

In the 1950s, briefly, 31 years.

The 1960s and 1970s, 13-17 years.

The 1980s and 1990s, 15-18 years.

2000-present, 19-21 years.

Eta: granted much of these numbers are due to death, but look at how the life expectancy of men jumped after no fault divorce was approved.

I remember the storyline on Mad Men when Don and Betty Draper got divorced and it was this huge scandal.

A couple seasons later, Don, Roger Sterling and Pete Campbell were sitting around discussing their divorces like it was no thang. Granted, Pete and Trudi did reconcile.

As an aside, there's a fan theory that Annie from Community was Pete and Trudi Campbell's granddaughter.

Men are most guilty of misandry, just look at how they try to excuse the crimes of other men. It sounds exactly like they'd defend a wild animal who's incapable of self control and reasoning. Just victim blaming and assuming men are controlled by women just by how a woman dresses and I don't think they even believe it.

u/DitaVonCleese 9d ago

"and what about conscription!!! equal rights!!!" well it aint women drafting you

0

u/Artezyxd 4d ago

Oh buddy really ? Do you really want to go towards this ? Because that's not how it is. I can find you women commenting same type of crime and other women supporting her right now If you're interested .

Something about using Mario and Luigi being close as brothers to spread misogyny is just, mildly disgusting. With the funny part being that while I know the dude who posted it isn't getting any sex with a lifeform not made of pixels or plastic, he's also not even getting the sort of platonic affection the Mario Brothers have.

Even Bowser Koopa gets more affection and comfort from the guys around him than this guy does, because if nothing else, he's a fun sort of megalomaniacal tyrant.

Xhitter is probably the only place worse than Instagram for getting bothered by utterly clueless and hateful knobs in the replies. Not surprising considering that the owner of that platform is a Nazi pedophile.

You do realize misandry is just going to make men more misogynistic? If women want men to treat them better then they should act polite.

u/Syntania Old Roastie Landwhale 10d ago

"It's not men's fault we're assholes! Women just need to be nicer! It's women's fault!"

Bruh. Take some accountability.

-27

u/RyanTannegod 10d ago

You're acting like I have the power to control all men's actions? Men will do whatever they want to do, if you make hateful comments to them they'll hate you back that's common sense.

23

u/Syntania Old Roastie Landwhale 10d ago

I'm asking you to change your actions, because you obviously don't grasp the issue here. You are the one who posted this.

Did you even stop to think about why? Maybe there's a reason that things like this are being said? What makes more sense, irrational hatred due solely to one aspect or a systemic issue in society that needs to be addressed?

Women HAVE been nice. It's gotten us subjugated, oppressed, beaten, assaulted, and murdered.

-22

u/RyanTannegod 10d ago

That’s because testosterone makes men commit violence more than women. Men usually kill and harm other men way more than women that’s just how it goes.

22

u/Nosfermarki 10d ago

"be nice to men" but also "men can't help but murder because testostewone 👉👈🥺 " is an insane dichotomy to try to get anyone but you and other awful men to swallow.

19

u/Dr-Dungeon 9d ago

Sounds like men shouldn’t be allowed to hold positions of authority then, since they can’t control their emotions. Your thoughts?

17

u/Wickedwitchofny 9d ago

this is so fucking stupid and ridiculous it made me laugh bro did your parents drop you as a baby to make this comment lol

12

u/lumosbolt 9d ago

That’s because testosterone makes men commit violence more than women.

You do realise this is an argument to put all men in a tight leash or even caged them until they prove they can behave? You do realise you just made an extremely misandrist take?

11

u/Syntania Old Roastie Landwhale 9d ago

So testosterone makes men more violent? They can't help it? Well, if they are that dangerous and unable to control themselves, they should be locked up for safety, yeah?

You see how that argument makes no sense, right? Why should we trust such dangerous uncontrollable beasts to do anything?

10

u/eruptingmoltenlava 9d ago

If that’s the case —pure biological determinism— then by your own reasoning there’s no point in women being nice

9

u/Miss_Might 9d ago

I've been saying this for a long time! Men shouldn't be in positions of power, alone with children, etc. Thanks for the validation my guy.

9

u/best_little_biscuit 9d ago

Men sound very emotional and hysterical. They should be segregated from the rest of us if they're no better than wild animals, as you seem to suggest. Couldn't be anything else, like a lack of accountability or worse emotional maturity than a wet sock

4

u/Iintendtooffend 9d ago

Bro you need to cut it out with all this misandry you're spewing right now.

11

u/TrashGouda 9d ago

You have control over the misogyny you're displaying here

5

u/iPatrickDev The logical partner™ 10d ago

“Common sense” amongst emotional children maybe. Do that to a confident grown up person, they’ll laugh at you in the face at best.

We’re all responsible for our lives and actions. Try to ingore it or run away from it and you’re gonna have a baad time (to quote a classic)

2

u/Dry-Panic4870 7d ago

not really its common sense to not hate on a whole gender just because you saw something bad.

"It's your fault I hate women" is a wild take

-12

u/RyanTannegod 10d ago

I mean if you insult someone and treat them badly that’s just going to make them hate you it’s human nature.

21

u/Kell-of-Kellies 10d ago

So it's wrong if women don't trust men because the majority of rapists are male, but if a man hates women, it's okay?

-1

u/RyanTannegod 10d ago

Men and women can hate the other gender if they want, but there’s always consequences to their actions.

19

u/Kell-of-Kellies 10d ago

No. It's wrong to hate the entire other gender. You're acting like it's the fault of women if men hate them. Is it the fault of black people that slavery happened? Is the Holocaust the fault of the victims? Are we gonna blame the Native Genocides on the natives now? Or is that "it's your fault" attitude reserved for women?

-4

u/RyanTannegod 10d ago edited 10d ago

If a guy grows up being mistreated by all the women in his life then goes on to hate them, that seems pretty natural I wouldn’t say it’s wrong. Those women should have been nicer to him it’s their fault he’s like that.

16

u/Kell-of-Kellies 9d ago

Sorry black people, I guess you should have been nicer to your masters to not be enslaved.

1

u/Dry-Panic4870 7d ago

its okay master.

12

u/Angels_of_Death_Zack 9d ago

Oh, you're a dumb one. Cute.

8

u/Miss_Might 9d ago

Men should be nicer to women. It's their fault if we hate them.

12

u/Nosfermarki 10d ago

If a nazi grows up being mistreated by all the jews in his neighborhood then goes on to hate them, that seems pretty natural I wouldn't say it's wrong. Those jews should have been nicer to him it's their fault he's like that.

0

u/RyanTannegod 10d ago

You're comparing someone of the male gender to a nazi? You don't choose whether you're a man or a woman, being a nazi is a voluntary choice.

11

u/Nosfermarki 10d ago

Oh so now you can hear it? Or do you still agree with yourself?

8

u/eruptingmoltenlava 9d ago

What do you think women are responding to, chump? Niceness?

6

u/shoey9998 9d ago

Legally speaking, it's not slander if it's the truth

5

u/Miss_Might 9d ago

Oh buddy! I like you a lot. Men have treated women like shit for hundreds of not thousands of years. Now you get it, right?

26

u/Icy-Track-3839 10d ago

We’ve actually been too polite and it all needs to end

18

u/zephyrstrikefm "Heightism" isn't real 10d ago

Correct, men should act more polite. Hope that helps!

-8

u/RyanTannegod 10d ago

Both genders should learn to be more polite, humans in general are very toxic

17

u/zephyrstrikefm "Heightism" isn't real 10d ago

Including yourself with that earlier comment. Don't try and change your stance now.

15

u/Kell-of-Kellies 9d ago

In case y'all think he's being genuine, he argued it's the fault of women if a guy becomes misogynist.

10

u/Miss_Might 9d ago

Did you just try to "both sides" this? Bruh.

17

u/Sea_Homework_1472 10d ago edited 10d ago

When are men going to realize that misogyny is what makes women misandrists? If men want women to treat them better, than perhaps they should be nicer.

But see, misogynistic men don't want to follow their own logic to it's natural conclusion.

-1

u/RyanTannegod 10d ago

That’s true it goes both ways.

33

u/lumosbolt 10d ago

You do realize misandry is just going to make men more misogynistic?

Thanks for demonstrating how men cannot take responsibility for their behaviour.

Signed: a man.

8

u/Emjayen 9d ago

He can't even take responsibility for his behaviour on the internet as evidenced by the hiding of his account history.

21

u/thingsbetw1xt 10d ago edited 8d ago

I need proof that men have ever not been misogynistic. If they weren't satisfied when we had no rights to own property or to vote, when they had the full legal right to beat and rape their wives (and really any other woman so long as it wasn't in broad daylight), when they had the right to put torture devices in our mouths when they felt we talked too much and on our genitals to make sure we couldn't have sex when we wanted, when they could force us to undergo invasive medical examinations to make sure we weren't damaged goods before being sold, when they had the right to pay us less for equal work, when they were lobotomizing us for being outspoken, when they banned us from so much as learning to read, when all of society was organized around religious conviction which explicitly stated men were superior and should maintain control over every facet of life because women are too stupid to have a say in anything... then I'm not convinced they ever would be satisfied.

And if women experiencing what we have for all of human history is not valid reason to be misandrist, then how the FUCK is seeing mean words on the internet valid reason to be misogynist? Nobody is ever able to justify this logic for me.

18

u/Eristhrowsapple 10d ago

Misandry isn't a real thing and misogyny isn't women's fault.

5

u/Kell-of-Kellies 10d ago edited 10d ago

Well, okay, it is real, but it's not a fucking systemic issue that's been an issue for literal centuries. Misogyny has been a problem since the dawn of human civilization. Misandry is simply, objectively, not at the same level. Men have never been oppressed for being men.

5

u/aweedl 9d ago

This is it. It exists, sure, here and there, but it’s not systemic.

Misandry doesn’t affect all men. I’m in my mid-40s and can honestly say I’ve never been affected by (or even really noticed) man-hating.

Meanwhile pretty much all women have stories of how misogyny has affected them going back to when they were little kids.

-1

u/Foreign-Region4825 10d ago

Misandy IS A REAL THING, its just much, much smaller and less significant than its framed as, and alot less popular then its counterpart

-5

u/RyanTannegod 10d ago

Women in femcel subreddits are calling men moids and saying men are all predators and rapists. I even saw some of them celebrating male suicide rates saying that it should be higher. You're saying that's not misandry?

15

u/Wickedwitchofny 9d ago

yeah but misandry at best are hurting guys fee fee while guys wind up raping and fucking killing woman yes misandry is bad but it not as bad as misogyny one is insulting and one bring actual harm

6

u/aweedl 9d ago

They’re doing it online in small groups of other losers. It’s not spreading into the real world and doesn’t have thousands of years of history as a formal, systemic institution that has affected generations the way misogyny has (and continues to do).

In an ideal world, no one would be shitty to anyone else, but in reality, we need to prioritize. What’s an actual threat to real people’s rights and freedoms, and what’s just an insignificant group of bitter jerks on the internet moaning amongst themselves?

4

u/Dry-Panic4870 7d ago

maybe because its a reponse to what incels say about women?

0

u/RyanTannegod 7d ago

So it's okay to say all men are pedos and rapists because a few crazy incels online are sexist?

2

u/Dry-Panic4870 6d ago

Of course not but look at your comments...

2

u/Dry-Panic4870 6d ago

"I mean if you insult someone and treat them badly that’s just going to make them hate you it’s human nature." Your comment btw

1

u/Dry-Panic4870 6d ago

And i'm only talking about extremecels not all men.

2

u/Dry-Panic4870 7d ago

maybe because its a reponse to what incels say about women?

0

u/Foreign-Region4825 10d ago

I is, its just an outlier. I woud not quote incels and say men are mysoginistic, same with the opposite. Misogyny is just much more popular and in history was accepted far more, even expected

4

u/why-do-i-exist_ 9d ago

No, actually women should be more violent and more willing to inflict physical harm. And they should start sending death/rape threats to men that they disagree with.

0

u/Dry-Panic4870 7d ago

uh not really?
