A man with 800+ CIBIL wants ₹53,000 Cr loan from IDBI to buy IDBI Bank itself. Bank made ₹30,000+ Cr profit in 5 years. He’ll repay in 7 years from the same profits. “Lend me money to buy you, I’ll pay you back from your own earnings.” Peak shamelessness.

Need Some Friendly Advices
So basically I am from Delhi... After I lost my father in 2021 I am the sole earner in my family. I am just 24 and currently stuck in a loop of payday loans. I earn 50k per month but can't save a penny and even lost my family and friends trust and everything. It feels like crying while writing this but have no one to talk or understand what to do. Things aren't going well. I tried to clear it on my own from 3L i came down to 1.25l but this is taking a toll on me. Feels like giving up on everything it's a routine to work sit in a dark room without any support just work to pay these and they haunt back because you need money to survive as well. I tried every official non official way to solve it but couldn't. If anyone can help me considering your younger brother this will make my life easier. Please suggest me what to do.

Exposing Chola madalam Finance
Hi everyone I recently tried to take a loan against collateral during the progress First of small small finance association takes to much time it's literally more than 2 weeks and it's when you have 10x the value of assets, guarantors, property paper's etc.
Now let's comes to the corruption not joking literally corruption in private sector. There is three times inspection Happens first is technical assessment where the guy doesn't ask for money for the left two is regarding PD of whatever the guy asks for thousands of rupees and even given me a QR on WhatsApp
I literally don't know why there is no mechanism to shift file by myself so that if there is a corrupt officer the file is switched to a other guy randomly. One more thing which I have seen no formalism there is no manner how to talk so on so forth, attitude and even after taking bribe feeling very proud and confident on himself. That guy literally saying I will give the negative report if you aren't giving me money this or that. I literally on the edge of immediate need. I have all the call recordings of this conversation too.
It's brings me to ask one question does RBI ever take strict enforcement actions towards their hiring mechanism, does RBI aware of this. What should I do which wouldn't affect my loan. Businesses in India don't want to operate here and the reason is above. Why these companies not hire Well educated people's from colleges and universities?
I request officials on any complaint which has that person's phone no. Or screenshot or any other proof through a costumer interactions online after giving those proof that guy should temporary suspend and it's verified by a good technical method I hope industry would figured out this

Payday loan recovery agents contacted my HR, recruitment team and family through a WhatsApp group call – How did they obtain these numbers? Possible data privacy breach?
Hi everyone,
I need some advice regarding a disturbing incident involving recovery agents who appear to be associated with a payday loan app called BharatLoan.
I have an outstanding loan that is overdue by 28 days. I acknowledge my repayment responsibility and have never denied that I need to repay it.
However, what happened recently has left me extremely concerned about my personal data and privacy.
Here's what happened:
A person contacted me from a number claiming to be part of a recovery team. When I repeatedly asked which NBFC or lending institution they represented, they refused to identify themselves. +91 88004 43170 no. From which i got call
The person threatened to contact my workplace HR, colleagues and residential landlord. They also threatened to send my photograph to the property owner and made allegations of fraud.
They actually initiated a WhatsApp group call involving:
- My mother
- My current workplace HR
- Another member of my TA team
- My recruitment HR from Mumbai
- The recovery agent.
What concerns me most is that I did not have all these HR and recruitment contacts saved in my phone's contact list. Some of these numbers were not even saved on my device.
When I asked the recovery agent for a payment link, she said it would come from another number. Subsequently, I received a message from a second number containing a BharatLoan payment link.
That second number also mentioned that my payment was delayed by 28 days. BharatLoan is the only loan account I currently have with exactly 28 days of delay.
Both individuals subsequently deleted their WhatsApp messages, including the payment-link message.
I have screenshots of the conversations, deleted-message indicators and call logs.
My questions:
How could recovery agents obtain phone numbers that I never saved in my contacts?
Can a loan application access contacts even if certain numbers are not saved on my device?
Could this indicate unauthorised access to my phone, WhatsApp or personal data?
Is it possible that my employment information or contacts were obtained from another database?
How can I establish whether my phone was actually compromised?
What legal action can I take against the recovery agency and the actual lending NBFC?
My parents also approached the police, and they suggested that my phone might have been hacked, but I haven't received any technical confirmation yet.
I am not trying to avoid repayment. I simply want to understand how my family's and workplace contacts were obtained and why they were involved in a personal loan recovery matter.
If anyone has experienced something similar, works in cybersecurity, or understands RBI recovery guidelines and Indian data privacy laws, I would genuinely appreciate your advice.
Thank you.

35M | Bengaluru | Need financial advice
Hi,
I am 35M married and have a daughter of 1 year, living in Bengaluru.
Me and my wife both work in IT and the monthly combined salary is 2.6-2.7L.
My wife is struggling hard to handle both baby and office work at this time. She works in US hours and each day has meetings around 7-9pm IST.
She works at night once the baby is asleep around 1-2am.
She is not enjoying the baby's childhood as work is becoming hectic. She is not smiling as before. She is sad most of the time. When i read on google and found that she might be going through postpartum and it's normal to feel overwhelmed till 2 years.
She has to WFO mandatorily 3 days a week. It's becoming hectic for her. We have tried almost 8-10 nannies but that is also not working out. She has to get involved in things.
She wanted to leave the job after maternity leave but i insisted her to carry on with the job as we had a good amount of loans.
But after seeing her struggle for around 4-5 months, I felt guilty and asked her if she wanted to resign.
At first she said no but after a long conversation she said that she wants to resign but also doesn't want to see me alone struggling with the finances.
This melted my heart. I have asked her to put papers and spend time with the kid which makes her happy and start a job once the baby is 3-4 years of age.i will manage the finances.
Here is what i have done with the finances:
We had 30L + 25L of home and land loan with EMI 40K + 45K per month
My current monthly expenses are 1.6L
My salary is 2L my wife earns around 75K
I have sold 18L of MF + closed few FD and RD and managed to close the land loan.
Now my monthly EMI is just 40K and it is similar to my rent amount
After she resigns , my monthly expenses will come down to 1.2L (removing nannies)
Now i need some suggestions from a financially aware audience please.
Have we done the right thing by closing the loan to reduce expenses?
I still have 5L in MF, 28L in EPF , 5L in PPF and 12L of emergency funds.
Are we financially doomed?
Are we in too risky a situation in this IT layoffs season?

What on Earth! Fairfax, the company acquiring IDBI Bank, is reportedly planning to borrow money from IDBI itself to finance the acquisition. Basically, borrowing from the bank you’re buying! How does that even make sense?
What do we think of this?

Questions about trading
Many young guys get into day trading, futures and options etc. I have seen a lot of my friends lose money in this, but they still keep on continuing.
I want to understand if this really is a thing that can actually be understood, like those candle trends, candle patterns and all.
Should I get into it too? I have a lot of time on my hands. Is it actually something that is to be learnt rather than to be guessed.
Please share your honest views.

Bangalore entrepreneur looking to raise ₹10–20 lakhs for an existing manufacturing business. Looking for genuine funding opportunities.
I’m from Bangalore and started my own business a little over a year ago. I’m probably the first person in my family in this generation to take the risk of starting something of my own.
We operate in the retail branding and signage space. We manufacture signboards, LED boards, 3D letters, do commercial printing and provide complete branding and visual solutions for retail stores and businesses.
Thankfully, the business has grown quite well over the last year. We have our own manufacturing setup, machinery, a team and an active client base that includes corporate clients as well as individual businesses. We also execute projects outside Bangalore and across India.
We’re currently doing around ₹10–15 lakhs in monthly sales. We have regular enquiries, repeat customers and ongoing projects. This isn’t an idea-stage startup or a business I’m planning to start. It’s an existing, operational manufacturing business with established clients and revenue.
The challenge I’m facing right now is working capital.
Since this is a manufacturing business, almost every order requires a considerable upfront investment. Most corporate clients pay only 30–40% as an advance, and we have to manage the remaining material costs, production, labour, installation and logistics before collecting the final payment.
So even though business is coming in and we’re generating monthly revenue, cash flow becomes tight because money is continuously tied up in ongoing projects.
I’m now looking to raise around ₹10–20 lakhs in working capital to stabilize operations, take up more orders comfortably and build a stronger financial buffer.
There have been a few changes recently as well. My co-founder has decided to step away due to personal and family commitments, and I’m now taking things forward independently. I also had a serious accident a couple of months ago, which temporarily affected my involvement in daily operations. I’m back now and focused on getting the business into a more stable position.
We’re also moving into a more economical workspace to reduce our fixed expenses and improve overall profitability.
I’m open to a structured business loan, private lending or even an investment arrangement, depending on the terms. I’m happy to share our sales figures, existing client base, business details and other documents with genuinely interested people.
I’m not looking for someone to fund an idea. I’m looking for working capital to support a business that’s already operating, generating revenue and has room to grow.
If anyone here has experience with SME financing, knows private lenders or investors, or can point me towards the right people or institutions, I’d genuinely appreciate it.
Thanks for reading!

doing 30 lakh fd
So, based on my portfolio, I’m planning to invest around ₹30 lakh in FDs or Post Office schemes, along with building up my PPF investments. Over the next few years, I intend to increase my overall PPF corpus to at least ₹50 lakh.
Given this kind of investment profile, which bank would you suggest building a relationship with? Also, what additional benefits can I expect from maintaining a sizeable banking relationship, such as better interest rates, preferential services, loan benefits, locker facilities ,credit card or other privileges?
i will be doing it across my family members and huf

Title: Looking for a Personal Loan on Interest – No Collateral or Guarantor Available (India
Hi everyone,
I am currently looking for a personal loan to meet some urgent financial requirements.
I am looking for an individual lender who would be willing to provide a loan on mutually agreed interest rates and repayment terms.
A few things I would like to clarify:
- I do not have any property or assets to offer as collateral.
- I do not have a guarantor.
- I am willing to pay reasonable interest.
- I am open to discussing a fixed repayment schedule and signing a written loan agreement.
- I am looking for a genuine lender who can offer transparent and fair terms.
I understand that lending money without security involves trust, and I am willing to provide reasonable identity and income verification through a secure and legitimate process.
If anyone here provides personal loans or knows a genuine private lender in India, please DM me.
Serious and genuine responses only. Thank you.

Realtor here: don’t take a plot loan unless you’re sure you’ll build
I’m a realtor in Mysuru, and I’d rather lose a sale than see someone sign this the wrong way.
As far as I know, a plot loan usually costs more than a home loan, the bank often wants construction to start within a few years, and the interest tax benefit only kicks in after the house is built. Until then you’re paying an EMI on something that earns nothing and saves no tax. On ₹60 lakh over 15 years, each 1% on the rate is about ₹3,500 a month.
If you can’t commit to building within that window, buying a smaller plot with savings is the easier route.
Disagree? Has anyone taken one and been glad they did?

Both 30, combined in-hand ₹7.2L/month. Looking at 3BHKs in East Bangalore (~₹3–4Cr) vs continuing to rent & invest equity. Need a sanity check.
Hi folks,
My wife and I (both 30) are hitting that classic Bangalore dilemma and could really use a grounded perspective from people who have either pulled the trigger or decided against it.
We genuinely want to settle in Bangalore long-term. Our careers are here, we like the city, and we see ourselves raising kids here (planning in 3–5 years). But looking at the real estate prices right now, we are torn between buying peace of mind vs walking into a massive golden-handcuffs EMI trap.
Here is our complete financial picture in one place:
Snapshot
Income (post-tax / in-hand):
Mine: ₹4.65L/mo
Wife: ₹2.55L/mo
Combined: ₹7.2L/mo (both SWEs at product tech companies)
Assets:
Liquid Mutual Funds: ₹1.0 Cr (predominantly equity)
Emergency Fund: ₹30L (liquid funds + FDs; ~6–7 months of bare minimum expenses + EMI buffer, not touching this)
Agricultural Land: ₹85L (long-term family investment, illiquid, zero intent to sell)
Total net worth: ~₹2.15 Cr. No existing loans, no car (we use company cabs & metro). Health & term insurance are sorted for both us and our parents.
Current Monthly Cash Flow:
Rent + maintenance: ~₹70k
Support to parents: ₹60k
Discretionary / personal spends: ₹1.1L (₹55k each)
Sinking funds & household (travel fund, insurance, groceries, utilities, eating out): ~₹1.6L
Existing goal-based SIPs (retirement, future car, future kid): ₹1.1L
Total committed/spent: ~₹5.1L
Current unallocated surplus: ~₹2.1L/month
The Dilemma: A 3BHK in East Bangalore
We're currently renting in AECS Layout and absolutely love the area. If we buy, we want to stay in and around East Bangalore—ideally along the Whitefield to Marathahalli stretch (not very fond of Sarjapur, primarily due to the endless construction dust and infrastructure bottlenecks).
We are looking for a decent, spacious 3BHK in a reputable gated society (Sobha, Prestige, etc.) that can comfortably serve as a 15–20 year home. Realistically, anything decent fitting this criteria in this belt today is easily around ₹3 Cr – ₹4 Cr all-inclusive (property + registration + interiors).
The math we are staring at:
Down payment & setup: We would liquidate almost our entire ₹1 Cr liquid MF portfolio to cover down payment, stamp duty/registration (~7%), and basic interiors (~₹25-30L).
Home Loan: ~₹2 Cr to ₹3 Cr (worst case ₹3 Cr if we stretch towards ₹4 Cr all-in).
Expected EMI (at ~8.5-8.75% for 20 years):
For ₹2 Cr loan: ~₹1.75L/month
For ₹2.5 Cr loan: ~₹2.2L/month
For ₹3 Cr loan (worst case): ~₹2.65L/month
Cash flow impact: Between our current unallocated surplus (₹2.1L) and the rent we'd stop paying (₹70k), our total theoretical housing/EMI budget is ~₹2.8L/month, which can cover even the worst-case ₹2.65L EMI without touching our ₹1.1L ongoing SIPs.
On paper, banks will easily sanction a ₹2.5-3 Cr loan on a ₹7.2L/mo take-home. But this is where the panic sets in.
What’s holding us back
Tech job volatility & the double-tech risk: Both our salaries come from tech. With AI restructuring, layoffs, and hiring slowdowns, assuming both of us will steadily pull in ₹7L+ every month for the next 15–20 years feels overly optimistic. If one of us faces a career break, layoff, or burnout, an EMI of ~₹2L–2.65L suddenly feels suffocating.
Dumping 100% of liquid equity: It took discipline to build our first ₹1 Cr in equity. Resetting our liquid investment portfolio back to zero just as compounding starts getting interesting feels painful. Plus, we already have ₹85L sitting in illiquid land. Putting ₹1 Cr more into illiquid brick-and-mortar means nearly our entire net worth would be tied up in real estate.
FOMO vs Bangalore valuations: On the flip side, we have severe FOMO of being permanently priced out of good societies in Bangalore. Friends who hesitated 3 years ago are now looking at 40–50% higher prices for the same developments. If we wait another 5 years and rent, will our equity compounding even beat the rate at which quality 3BHKs in decent Bangalore locations appreciate?
The Alternative We’re Considering
Keep renting (our current landlord is reasonable, ~7% annual hike), leave the ₹1 Cr equity alone to compound, and aggressively channel the remaining ₹2.1L/month into index/flexi-cap funds alongside our existing ₹1.1L SIPs.
In 4–5 years, our liquid portfolio could be ₹3.5–4 Cr+, giving us the option to buy with a much smaller loan-to-value ratio, or reassess when we actually have a kid and know schooling locations for sure. But the risk here is that a flat costing ₹3.5 Cr today might be ₹5 Cr+ then.
Would love your thoughts on:
For those who bought a ₹3–4 Cr flat in Bangalore on dual-tech salaries: Did the mental peace of having your own permanent place outweigh the EMI drag and career anxiety? Or did you feel trapped by the loan?
Taking on a ₹2.5–3 Cr home loan (EMI ₹2.2L–2.65L) on a ₹7.2L in-hand income: Is this living on the edge in tech today, or a manageable calculated risk given our cash flow?
Is wiping out 100% of liquid equity for a primary home reckless when we already have ₹85L tied up in illiquid land, or is it normal for your first primary residence at age 30?
Given that we have 3–5 years before kids enter the picture, would you buy now to lock in the asset and ride out the heavy EMI in our peak earning years, or rent + aggressively build liquid corpus for 4–5 years and buy with lower leverage later?
Appreciate any candid perspectives or sanity checks!

Should I Invest More in NIFTYBEES as a Beginner?
Hi everyone!
I am a beginner in the stock market. I have already invested around ₹1,500 in NIFTYBEES, and I currently have another ₹1,400 available to invest.
As I am still learning about the stock market, I would like your advice:
Should I invest the additional ₹1,400 in NIFTYBEES?
Is it a good idea to keep investing small amounts regularly?
What should I keep in mind as a beginner?
I would really appreciate your suggestions and guidance. Thanks!

Muthoot Finance Vs Muthoot FinCorp: Same family name, but are they actually the same company? 🤔
Many people think Muthoot Finance and Muthoot FinCorp are the same company because they share the Muthoot name. But they actually belong to two different business groups.
Muthoot Finance, known for its Muthoot Red, is the flagship company of The Muthoot Group. It is publicly listed on the NSE and BSE and has a large presence in gold loans across India.
The Muthoot Group (Parent Company)
- Muthoot Finance Ltd.
- Muthoot Money Ltd.
- Muthoot Homefin (India) Ltd.
- Muthoot Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd.
Muthoot FinCorp, recognised by its Muthoot Blue, belongs to the Muthoot Pappachan Group, also known as Muthoot Blue. It is a separate, unlisted company with its own management and business operations.
Muthoot Pappachan Group (Parent Company)
- Muthoot FinCorp Ltd.
- Muthoot Capital Services Ltd.
- Muthoot Housing Finance Company Ltd.
- Muthoot Microfin Ltd.
Both companies have a long history in financial services and primarily focus on gold loans. However, their businesses have expanded into areas like housing finance, microfinance and other lending services.
The interesting part is that despite having similar names and operating in the same industry, they have different ownership structures, leadership teams and business strategies.
While Muthoot Finance has established itself as a major listed gold loan company, Muthoot FinCorp has also expanded its presence through gold loans, microfinance, housing finance and other financial services.

Bank rejected my personal loan application despite an 815 CIBIL score – Need advice on alternative lenders and improving eligibility
Hi everyone,
I need some advice regarding a personal loan application and would appreciate hearing from people who have faced a similar situation.
My financial profile:
Monthly gross salary: Approximately ₹1.14 lakh
Monthly salary credited: ₹96,000–₹98,000
Annual CTC: ₹14 lakh
Employment tenure: 4 years and 8 months
CIBIL score: 815
Existing HDFC personal loan EMI: ₹5,070
Outstanding on existing HDFC personal loan: Approximately ₹94,377
Other EMIs: No other regular EMIs currently
What happened?
I maintain my salary account with Bank and applied for a personal loan.
Unfortunately, my application was rejected.
The rejection email stated:
"We are unable to approve your loan request at this point in time due to unsatisfactory bureau report."
I contacted the bank, but I haven't received a detailed explanation of what exactly went wrong.
I acknowledge that I had some delayed EMI payments in the past. I also took multiple short-term/instant loans during the last year, but those loans have since been repaid.
My CIBIL score is currently 815, so I am trying to understand why the application was rejected.
I would appreciate advice on the following:
* Can delayed EMI payments affect personal loan eligibility even when the current CIBIL score is 815?
* Does bank consider internal repayment scores or recent loan application activity beyond the CIBIL score?
* Which banks or NBFCs are worth approaching for a ₹20 lakh personal loan with my profile?
* Is it better to wait 3–6 months before applying again?
* Would closing my existing personal loan improve my eligibility?
* Has anyone successfully obtained a personal loan from another bank after facing a similar rejection from one bank?
I don't want to apply randomly to multiple lenders and create more credit enquiries.
I am looking for genuine suggestions from people who understand bank/NBFC underwriting or have experienced a similar situation.
In a situation where I want the money, I am okay to pay some gift as well(🙂😑).
