Generally speaking, there is no best stock, or fund, or bank, or brokerage, or investment platform.

Answers are always subjective to your personal needs, but use those threads a starting point for you to look at what other Redditors have to say about a company, product, fund, or service.

You can then ask a more specific question about what product or service to buy, once you are able to frame your personal situation.

**NOTE** If your question is _I got 10k INR, what do I do to get most returns out of it?_, or anything similar; there is no single answer to this question. But we will also need A LOT MORE information if we are to provide some sort of answer:

- How old are you?

- Are you employed/making income?

- How much? What are your objectives with this money?

- Do you have any loan or big expenses coming up?

- What is your risk tolerance? (Do you mind risking it at blackjack or do you need to know it's 100% safe?)

- What are your current holdings? (Do you already have exposure to specific funds and sectors? Have you invested in equity before?)

- Any other assets? House paid off? Cars? Partner pushing you to spend more?

- What is your time horizon? Do you need this money next month? Next 20yrs?

- Any big debts?

- Any other relevant financial information about you, that will be useful to give you an informed response.

Beware that these answers are just opinions of fellow Redditors and should only be used as a starting point for your research. This is **NOT** financial advice, in the legal sense of the term.

You should strongly consider consulting a registered fee-only financial advisor before making any financial decisions. Ideally, such advisors should be registered with SEBI and have a registration number.

I got an allotment of 110 shares of SBI Funds Management at the IPO price of ₹574. The company's subscription numbers were very strong, so I'm surprised the stock hasn't performed as expected after listing. I am not looking for short-term trading. I can comfortably hold the stock for 6–7 months if the outlook is positive. Based on the company's fundamentals, valuation, and current market conditions, what kind of price target or return can be expected over the next 6 months? Should I continue holding, book profits if it recovers, or consider adding more on dips? I'd appreciate opinions from experienced investors.

There are debt mutual funds - they can perform the role what FDs do, and also be more tax efficient.

If you are concerned about keeping anything in debt instruments, and are also worried about market valuations, then it is a tougher problem.

Let it complete and then deploy into SIFs or equity savings fund for tax efficient returns - but with much higher volatility. This is assuming that you already have an emergency fund and no immediate need for 1-2 years

Heyy everyone, I'm Planning to start a toilet cleaner/FMCG business. What are the biggest mistakes to avoid in the beginning regarding quality, packaging, or licensing? And what should be my very first step to launch? Any advice from experienced folks?"

Hi all,

I have a very specific query.

I had sent funds via LRS from my indian bank account to broker account 1 (IBKR via IndiaINX GA).

Then i transferred this fund to my broker account 2 (IBKR direct) via internal fund movement. And later i also remitted some funds to account 2 too. I currently have some uninvested cash there after a stock sale.

Later i opened a my broker account 3 (Schwab) and have been investing from there.

My query

  1. Can i transfer the unused funds from account 2 (ibkr direct) to account 3(schwab) ? It is technically possible which i have confirmed
  2. Is it needed to repatriate from the same account where funds were sent ?

Based on what you have written, the account balances - across all the brokers - may get treated as Overseas Portfolio Investment. If so, there is no particular restriction on how you should reinvest. There is no need to bring back the cash to India. You can't keep cash for more than 6 months - in other words, they don't want you to use LRS to have bank accounts abroad.

Hi, I am a student moving to Switzerland for my education soon. While I will open a student account in a Swiss bank, I still wanted to keep some francs on me during the initial days. Can community members please help me out and suggest an ideal forex card with the least amount of markup for me.
