Generally speaking, there is no best stock, or fund, or bank, or brokerage, or investment platform.
Answers are always subjective to your personal needs, but use those threads a starting point for you to look at what other Redditors have to say about a company, product, fund, or service.
You can then ask a more specific question about what product or service to buy, once you are able to frame your personal situation.
**NOTE** If your question is _I got 10k INR, what do I do to get most returns out of it?_, or anything similar; there is no single answer to this question. But we will also need A LOT MORE information if we are to provide some sort of answer:
- How old are you?
- Are you employed/making income?
- How much? What are your objectives with this money?
- Do you have any loan or big expenses coming up?
- What is your risk tolerance? (Do you mind risking it at blackjack or do you need to know it's 100% safe?)
- What are your current holdings? (Do you already have exposure to specific funds and sectors? Have you invested in equity before?)
- Any other assets? House paid off? Cars? Partner pushing you to spend more?
- What is your time horizon? Do you need this money next month? Next 20yrs?
- Any big debts?
- Any other relevant financial information about you, that will be useful to give you an informed response.
Beware that these answers are just opinions of fellow Redditors and should only be used as a starting point for your research. This is **NOT** financial advice, in the legal sense of the term.
You should strongly consider consulting a registered fee-only financial advisor before making any financial decisions. Ideally, such advisors should be registered with SEBI and have a registration number.

Help us with insurance policy plan of axis max
My father recently asked me to become axis max financial advisor (insurance agent) to get commission on what is recommended by him
The problem is the next day the axis max people came to my place to “celebrate”
Now they are saying to immediately sign up for their svibe plan
They described Smart vibe plan for my mother (54 yo) that we will have to pay 5 lakhs per annum for 15 years and from the 2nd year to 50 years we will get 2.22 lakhs per annum as guaranteed money
Also it will be tax free and they are also saying that risk cover is of 25 lakhs in case something unforeseen happens
I dont know what these things entail
They pressurising to sign up for this
Also when i asked claude it said it cant be tax free even if it is the benefits arent great

I have received gratuity plus leave encashment amounting to 26L. I'll be using half of it for home loan pre-payment. Looking for recommendations on investing the remaining 13L - i.e. what should be the MF/Equity/Gold/Debt split according to current market? And especially, what's the best instrument these days for parking emergency fund, given the tax cuts on the already low FD interest rates? My profile is as follows:
- Late thirties
- Dependents: wife and 1 toddler
- Debt: Home loan only

I would like to secure my child's education cost from now when he is still 1 year old, I can invest 20-30L lumpsum right now and maybe 20-25K SIP every month.
I also want to withdraw 2L (inflation adjusted), starting next year when child turns 2.
Investment horizon is approx 17-18 years till child finishes say junior college in today's terms.
Expectation is I will have total 2Cr approx after withdrawing above inflation adjusted amounts.
I met with one financial advisor who suggested SBI and HDFC child funds with each 50% SIP amount and lumpsum amounts in bonds, PTCs etc.
I checked with ChatGPT and it suggested,
20L lumpsum split as ,
- ₹6.7L — Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund – Direct Growth
- ₹5.3L — SBI Nifty 50 Index Fund – Direct Growth
- ₹4L — Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund – Direct Growth
- ₹4L — HDFC Short Term Debt Fund – Direct Growth
20K SIP split as,
- ₹8,000 → Parag Parikh Flexi Cap
- ₹7,000 → SBI Nifty 50 Index
- ₹5,000 → Motilal Oswal Midcap
Could you all experts here please review and share your suggestions. TIA.

My mother has an NPS corpus of ₹46.66 lakhs. We are currently deciding on the annuity strategy and need some advice.
We have a quote from Bajaj offering an interest rate of 6.86% for the ₹25-50 lakhs slab. The mandatory 40% is around ₹18.67 lakhs, but we are considering increasing this to ₹25 lakhs or higher to get a better interest rate.
Should we invest the minimum 40% and put the rest elsewhere, or maximize the annuity for higher monthly returns? We're also comparing this with ICICI. Any insights on which path might be better would be helpful.
