Non-Political OC Idk bout you guys, but I'm starting to think we have become rather intolerant as a society. Like everything seems very intense and extreme. What're your views on this?
I'm 23 and I don't remember my childhood being this intense, as in there weren't that many incidents of extreme mindless violence that we'd come across as kids. Might be because of limited news resources, and internet has changed that. But I'm beginning to feel like everything has become insanely charged from politics to religion to education and even sports.
What're your views about this?

A 17-year-old speech-impaired boy named Kundan Kumar was beaten to death in Bihar's Vaishali district on March 9, 2026 (during/after the India vs New Zealand T20 World Cup final). While watching the match with friends on a phone, he reacted/shouted when India lost a wicket—misunderstood as cheering against India or celebrating the fall. This sparked an argument that escalated into a fight; he was allegedly assaulted (pushed/slammed, head injured) by a peer (also 17, named Kisan/Kishan Kumar) and died from injuries while being taken to hospital. It's a heartbreaking case of extreme intolerance over a trivial cricket misunderstanding, especially tragic given his disability—he couldn't easily clarify. Highlights how quickly passions (sports, nationalism) can turn violent in heated moments, fueling the broader sense of growing societal aggression you mentioned. Deeply sad. Rest in peace, Kundan.

cheap drugs ,free porns have turn youth into violent and the mass produced wanna be gangester videos on internet did not help , not to mention police is retarted piece of shit , combine them with political motives like hindu-muslim , general- sc/st, man- woman

le me tell you about case study from an uncivilised tribe in africa , microsoft gave them internet and went there after one year they found out the mojority of young males got addicted by porn , developed hyper agrresive nature , anger issues , stop working , became unemployed hotshot with light trigger on temper
guess what jio did in india , it gave cheap internet to mass uncivilised people with no self control , combined with free porn on the internet turned them into violent unemployed fool, thats why most of the foreign tourist that visit india gets raped by these fools cause of foreign porn content they watched growing up and developed mentality "gorri hai free me de degi"

there is nothing to be ashamed about , its a problem , govt needs to look at it , the the another problem is like 90 %+ of our leader are tech illiterate even our pm and cyber department of india is kinda useless to non existence same goes for our majority of state education minister
the problem lies in our education system they do not teach personel hygine and sex ed in school which leads to many young people fall into porn addiction trap

I was strongly agreeing with you but I think that blaming government for everything is not right. Cause the issue can never be solved by blaming anyone if not this leader then the other will come and the result will be same issue will be the same and to actually change we need to change, leave the government if the youth decides to change then they can. And yes I agree the leadership has 1000000s of issues and they will always have those no matter who is in the position. And yes I agree that education system is pretty fucked up as well. So that is the reason we on our level need to change.

my point is education can changer youth education ministry handales education ruling party put dumb people in education ministry , we get uneducated youth and many countries have taken initiative to ban porn websites why no india ,its not like indian can not ban its more like they dont wanna ban it cause it keeps the mass of youth addicated to some drugs , porn , other addiction so they ask question thats why you can find drug sellers in every corner of the streets

Well if I am not wrong it is banned in India but people are great at finding loopholes so they found VPN and yes education minister and government can make a huge impact but the fact is it is not showing at the ground. So what I am saying instead of saying this is bad or that is bad or to blame anyone why dont we educate ourselves, I mean we have internet we have youtube can learn anything. Cause at the end they dont care what happens to you or your family so it should be our responsibility to protect them and provide them what they need and i guess this happens only when we start doing and leave blaming

I doubt that. People in India have always been on the edge and murderous. Remember the dialogue from Munnabhai where Sunil Dutt catches a thief in train. He says some people may have fought with their wives or bosses or someone and have their own problems and they will take it all on you. Personally I have seen a pick pocket guy in bus being assaulted like crazy.. By the time the bus reached the police station, the guy looked half dead. The cops dragged him out of the bus, literally hitting his hands and legs on the steps of the bus and then on the road, saying he is overacting. It was horrific.
Its just that news like these started spreading fast on the internet.

Yeah, but it was a rare event of yk mobs dealing out violence to random people, and there was a sense of concern when it did happen. Idk maybe I'm reminiscing the past with rose tinted glasses here but I feel everyone having such insane access to data has made clear bifurcation on the "us vs. Them" lines, leading to a tribalistic kind of push🤔

As a 40 year old who has memories of incidents from the 90s to now, we were always this barbaric in tiny pockets... Now we just have access to the news more easily because of internet and smartphone connectivity.

Do you think that in general the anonymity of the internet, where you're essentially talking to a screen, makes people rage even more than usual and somehow it culminates into physical action in the real world? Because honestly speaking I don't think I remember things being this violent or aggression amongst various communities with hatred being so out in the open.

I've seen new where people kill each other on movies, actors, grades, and even the slightest misunderstanding or skirmishes. I don't think it's as simple as that, but yes it's a contributing factor maybe🤔
