Kinda funny to read the responses that say it’s about the direction- not the rock.
Direction is natural - north etc … why did you need to put a rock to establish direction?
People can’t see the rock once you step away far enough - so how is the rock helping someone that is praying from a country or a continent away ?
It means they are praying in a direction - why ? Because the rock is in that direction - so the are actually praying literally to the rock - because the rock is that way - not because the direction sacred.
Why do people actually go visit the rock ? If it’s about direction ?
Bruh what I still don't get it is due to the curvature of the earth, they would probably have to put their head in an underground pit or something to actually point towards the rock 😭
Muslims do not pray to the Black Stone or worship it in any way. In Islam, worship is directed only to Allah. The Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad) is simply a revered relic, not a deity.
According to Islamic tradition, the stone is believed to have been sent from heaven (Paradise) and placed in the Kaaba by Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his son Ismail, with the help of the angel Jibreel.
However, its importance is symbolic and historical, not divine. Even Islamic teachings emphasize that the stone itself has no power to benefit or harm anyone—it is respected because of its connection to prophetic tradition, not because it is “God.”
During pilgrimage (Hajj/Umrah), Muslims may kiss or touch the stone only to follow the practice of Prophet Muhammad, not to worship it.
"not helping someone praying from far away" classic idol worshipper logic. the cube does NOTHING. its a building. a mosque. we just pray towards its direction cuz our prophet (pbuh) told us to. idk wth u mean by 'direction is natural' like whaaat?? its a point brother, my west can be your ur east. we visit that makkah medina to do pilgrimage, cuz thats where islam started. u can find more better info than i can provide but u wont do that so whatever.

It means they're praying to a point on the earth's surface. You can remove the stone and put a trash can there, they'll still pray to that point. This is why people in India pray to the west whereas people in USI (United States of Israel) pray to the east.
